Crema's Take
“Melrose Umbrella trades pure coffee focus for something more ambitious: a moody, design-forward hangout that blends specialty cocktails with creative drinks in a space filled with soaring ceilings and atmospheric medieval touches. The vibe here is deliberately unhurried and social—think late-night neighborhood gathering spot where impeccable service and a carefully curated aesthetic matter as much as what's in your glass. It's the kind of place you'd linger with friends for hours, captivated by the incredible music and the thoughtfully designed back areas that feel like secret corners.”

Incredible music and cocktails. The atmosphere and interior design is amazing. Great neighborhood hanging spot. Also back area was very cozy and great for hangs with friends. I’ve been here so many times and will continue. Also the owners are very involved and passionate about this spot.
We did not get there before the kitchen closed at 11 but the drinks were awesome and the decor was 10/10 for the season. Drink menu was limited but I’m sure they could make most anything you want.
Great service! Really recommend. We had no reservation on a Friday night and the staff was impeccable and got us a table for to with almost no wait time. Perfect atmosphere for a small group of friends or for a date night. They serve a good expresso martini!
Atmosphere 6/10 Very high ceilings and a rather cozy interior design. Great for a group of friends. Some interesting medieval design elements, including the backbar. Drinks 6/10 Recommendation: - Tried 3 drinks and all were rather basic in terms of taste and presentation. Minus points for the QR code-only menu. The glassware is very basic, almost cheap. The coasters have a cool design though. Service 4/10 No service to report. Water was served upon request. The staff was not very friendly. Prices are average for LA.
Nice location, very open, easy-paced environment. Food and drinks were great! Majority of us ordered burgers with a variation of sweet potatoes, tater tots, and regular fries. Seating is faily good, there are a mix of booths and tables (the table are a little small, just fits two, so just be mindful if you're coming in with a bigger group). Staff was super friendly and helpful, they day we came in it wasn't really busy and it was just one guy at the bar. All-in-all, you should stop by for some grub and good vibes!
