B18 Coffee Kitchen
18 park ave, Jersey City, NJ
Crema's Take
“B18 Coffee Kitchen offers a refreshingly quieter alternative to its busier sister restaurant, with genuinely delicious grilled chicken sandwiches and fresh, carefully crafted food that clearly justifies a visit to the waterfront location. While service can be inconsistent and waits occasionally long, the warm hospitality you'll find on a good day and the outdoor seating overlooking the harbor make it worth seeking out when you're craving both solid coffee and something more substantial to eat.”

Always with an attitude! Very long wait. For inside sitting have to go and ask if anything is needed. Seems like they can’t get their operations in order which is a shame considering that the food is good (hence extra stars).
B18 is just as delicious as their partner restaurant (Beechwood Cafe) in a less crowded environment. The grilled chicken sandwich here is incredibly delicious, and you can adjust the bread if you’d like. The coffee is presented very well and is very tasty. Glad to have B18 in Paulhus Hook 😃.
Someone hacked one of their POS. I spent $5.18 on an iced coffee, tapped my VISA Card, walked two businesses down to the nail salon…and I had text messages from BofA reporting fraud on my card (in-person pick-up orders from Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Newport Mall, Macy’s, a “Frontier Reservation”). I quickly had my card canceled, and figured I would alert the “manager” of the establishment. I promptly called and tried very hard to explain what happened - but this “manager” wouldn’t allow me to speak, told me that I was “rude” for alerting him, and genuinely lost his mind on me (I had him on speaker in the nail salon for everyone to hear). It was truly wild. I have never (in my life) had an experience like that. Do not go here if you don’t want to be robbed! And then get yelled at for sharing your experience :)
Can't say enough about how delicious and fresh the food is and how warm and welcoming the service was! A must if you are in the City. Check them out. They are by the harbour where you can catch the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. Stopped in for breakfast and went back for lunch!!! We had eggs Benedict / breakfast burrito / PLT for breakfast and for lunch Korean wings, Loren Steak sandwich and Ramen...plus the cupcakes, cheese and variety of coffee teas and Bobo!!
Tried out this place a few months back based on a friend’s recommendation and I must say, it was pretty good for a coffee shop. They had been ordering coffee and a few sandwiches from here pretty regularly so I had to try this place when I visited them. We had a takeout order from this place for a couple of coffees and some sandwiches. The coffee was fantastic. I had mocha latte. For breakfast, I gave ham and cheese croissant a shot and my friends had ordered avocado toast and a chicken wrap. The food was amazing, albeit, on the expensive side. Everything tasted great and fresh, was cooked properly and wasn’t soggy or anything, which you typically expect from a coffee shop, unfortunately. It was refreshing to try out this place and experience such amazing food and coffee.
