Crema's Take

Epistrophy pulls off the rare feat of being equally suited for solo work sessions and intimate dates, with a genuinely warm staff that makes you feel like a regular on your first visit. The vibe is unmistakably Italian-café-meets-Brooklyn-living-room—small and charming with excellent pastries and solid light food—making it the kind of place regulars specifically recommend for rainy days when you need to disappear into a good magazine and strong coffee. Fair warning: it's cozy to the point of snug, so don't expect sprawling space, but the thoughtful details and attentive service make the compact quarters feel like part of the charm rather than a drawback.

Love the atmosphere and vibe of this place. Nice for a romantic date but a little bit lousy. The service was excellent and the food 4/5. The tomatoes 🍅 sauce for the food is amazing. And the chocolate mousse dessert is a MOST.. 😋😋

This is a cozy restaurant with genuinely friendly staff. I loved my drink we ordered the Hot Lip and a glass of red wine. The pasta was good overall, but for a mushroom-based dish (Funghi), the mushrooms were a bit sparse. I wish it had more.
