Crema's Take

The matcha lattes here are legitimately exceptional—vibrant, balanced, and made with the kind of care that keeps regulars coming back—but what really sets Créme apart is the genuine neighborhood vibe the co-owners Ben and Jason have cultivated, where you're greeted by name and actually feel like you belong. It's the rare Lower East Side spot that's stayed unpretentious despite being beloved, with reasonable prices ($5 cappuccinos), solid pastries, and enough seating to actually work for a couple hours without guilt.

What to expect

Espresso-focused, matcha and tea options too. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast and pastries on the menu. Family friendly. Parking available.

Great service. Got a hot matcha latte with oat milk and vanilla syrup. The matcha was a vibrant green and the perfect touch of sweetness. Will definitely be back!

Great place to snag a seat and work for a few hours, I think 2 is the perfect amount of time. Small bench with outlets and chairs make it inviting. The owner is kind and knows a lot of folks in the neighborhood, so the atmosphere feels personal and intimate with a friendly and…
