Crema's Take

Gravel City Roasters pulls off the rare feat of being both a serious specialty coffee destination and a genuinely welcoming hangout where regulars camp out for hours with their dogs and friends. The rotating curated gift shop and art supplies partnership give you reason to linger beyond your pour-over, and the staff clearly knows their regulars by name after a decade of repeat business. If you want craft coffee that tastes like it belongs in a bigger city, but served in a space that actually feels like home, this is your spot in Emporia.

What to expect

Espresso-focused, with creative signature drinks, with a pour-over program, good cold brew. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Dog friendly. Wifi.

Great spot to get your daily Joe, some work done, catch up with a friend and more. Gift shop is constantly changing as well and is fun to browse through each time. Overall, very lovely place we have here in Emporia.

Excellent coffee, amazing staff and offers many handcrafted items and art supplies within the store from a business partner. I am a repeat customer for ~10 years. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Love this coffee shop. It’s our home away from home since we go most every afternoon with our dog. He loves it and they love him. This is the best coffee shop in Emporia. We never eat there so unable to rate the food but the coffee and service are excellent!

Gravel city roasters is such a good, cozy place to go to. they have a variety of food and drinks there. the drink i got in the photos i shared was the frozen mocha with chocolate chips. i definitely recommend going there to get coffee, study, or just simply enjoy the place!

Superb local coffee and art store. Super bummed I was running behind and only got to grab a quick perusal and some treats - definitely on my list for exploring on my next visit. Looked to be a cool place to hang out- the cookies, roll and tea were fantastic as was the friendly…
