Crema's Take

Tucked in Knoxville's Old City, this spacious coffee shop stands out for its genuinely welcoming atmosphere and impressive seating capacity, making it equally suited for solo work sessions or lingering with friends. Their espresso-focused menu shines with seasonal specialty drinks, and the beautifully decorated space even features a stage venue in the back, giving the spot an unexpectedly vibrant character that goes beyond your typical coffee shop experience. The knowledgeable, attentive staff and reasonable pricing round out what locals have embraced as a reliable gathering place.

Very nice coffee spot. Ordered a Americano very reasonably priced. Delicious coffee lots of seating and it looks like some sort of a stage venue in the back, cool place. The staff was very very nice. One negative note. It looks like this place shares a restroom with several others in the building. The restroom was pretty nasty, but I’ve seen worse.

Cute coffee shop in Old City. Big pay to park, parking lot next to the business. Very quiet atmosphere to work in. Great selection of seasonal coffee flavor options. Service was a little slow and the Elf iced latte missed the flavor mark. The hot Polar Bear latte was good and tasted on point, definitely recommend. They were also out of some of their food options at 10 am. Not a bad experience but was expecting more.

Nice little coffee shop in downtown Knoxville. It was decorated nicely and they had a decent menu.

Very neat coffee shop in old city. Probably the biggest and most amount of seating ive ever seen in a coffee shop. I loved the vibe and atmosphere of the place. I got a cappuccino and it wasn’t the best. maybe they were just some bad beans or a bad brew but it tasted very overroasted and and the milk was more bitter than sweet. The food looked great but did not get any. I’d go back because of how convenient and accessible place to study. Will give the coffee another try and I’ll have to try the food as well. 4.0/5

Awaken Coffee is a nice shop to hang out and relax. the building is beautiful and the environment is very relaxing. Coffee itself was just okay in my opinion, a little bit too dark for me. Definitely more of a 2nd wave experience, so if you're looking for a 3rd wave coffee shop, I'd look elsewhere, but overall good experience
