Ceremony Coffee Roasters - Cross Street Market
1065 S Charles St, Baltimore, MD
Crema's Take
“Tucked into the bustling Cross Street Market, Ceremony serves thoughtfully crafted espresso drinks and pour overs in a calm, open layout that feels like a peaceful retreat despite the lively surroundings. The roastery's own beans shine across their menu, and regulars praise both the quality of the coffee and the genuinely kind staff who create an inviting space for lingering over a book or catching up with friends. Their pastries—particularly the muffins and egg and cheese offerings—pair perfectly with whatever you order, making it an easy favorite for a slower coffee moment rather than a quick grab-and-go.”

So I was debating posting this because I thought maybe it was viral. But, I got so sick from eating here. It's not a sanitary place. I could see some people visibly sick and the "management" saying that they were to keep serving customers. It's flu season and its very serious with the previous pandemic for food to be served safely without ANY cross contamination. After I had food and drinks from this place if that's what they call it, I was violently ill. Vomiting and diarrhea profusely for days. Again I thought maybe viral but when no one else fell ill around me I realized I had gotten food poisoning. They need better management here and better control of germs. -100/10
Amazing coffee. Got a small hot coffee and a latte, both were great. Egg and cheese muffin was perfect, very soft biscuit…so good I ate it before I could take a picture lol. Staff was friendly and service was fast.
Staff was extremely kind. Muffin and coffee were good. Since I came just to read my book, the atmosphere was solid. I think if someone wanted to do work here, they’d have to get a good seat by the windows with the outlets. But, they do offer wifi, so that’s a plus.
Nice open layout coffee shop with lots of cool coffee related items. They have good service and it’s a nice calm space in the busy cross street market. The avocado toast and chai lattes were great. Probably the best coffee shop in the immediate cross street market area.
We stopped here for a short coffee break and were super impressed by the different varieties and blends of coffee beans available to purchase by the bag. We especially liked the bag of beans that donated a portion of the proceeds towards climate change. Everyone that worked there was super chill and kind, which contributed to the overall calming atmosphere. I think it would be a great place to grab a delicious cup of coffee and get some work done or read a book.
