Crema's Take
“This beloved Traverse City bookstore doubles as a reliable coffee spot where the real magic is the attentive staff who genuinely help you find what you're looking for—whether that's a specific title or your next read. The late hours (open until 10pm) and walkable downtown location make it perfect for a leisurely browse paired with a traditional coffee, and locals keep coming back for the thoughtful curation of Michigan history and regional titles that give the shop real character. It's the kind of place where a quick five-minute grab-and-go coffee run can turn into an hour of discovery, whether you're meeting a friend or just want to settle in with a book and a cup.”
What to expect

This bookstore has a great selection of books with a lot of very specific and interesting titles. They pack quite a bit into the space, and the staff also seemed friendly. I really enjoyed looking around, and I think they’ve been in this location for a long time. It’s a gem…
Very large and has some extraordinary illustrated/embossed copies of some classics. It’s like Foxes bookstore in You Got Mail but after Tom Hanks’ character marries Meg Ryan’s character. Tremendous and whimsical selection.
Great bookstore on the main street in Traverse City, convenient to many shops and restaurants. Larger than many main street bookstores, with a very good selection that includes books of local & regional interest. Comfy seating and a cafe inside.
I picked up the phoned asked about a publication, they checked if they had it, they had it! Then they placed it at the counter for me. I made my way to the store I was in and out in 5 minutes! What could be easier! Great staff and a pleasure to do business with them!
Our favorite bookstore. Has a great selection, I think only once they didn’t have what we were looking for and ordered it for us. What we also love about it is that it’s open till 10pm, later than many other businesses in the area. We love to go there after a dinner and drinks,…
Great local bookstore that has a wide selection. It keeps in stock some good history books on Michigan and Native American culture. Located in downtown Traverse City it is easy to find and walkable to other stores and a few hotels.
