Crema's Take

Wailua Bakeshop is a beloved neighborhood gem in Lihue where ridiculously good malasadas (those pillowy Portuguese pastries) steal the show at just $1.50 for plain or $3.50 for creative flavors like passion fruit and ube. The warm, attentive staff and constantly fresh-baked selection of pastries and light fare make it worth arriving early, and the spacious indoor seating with AC provides the perfect refuge whether you're grabbing coffee quick or settling in for a slower morning with family. With a stellar 4.8-star rating and devoted repeat visitors, this is the kind of spot that becomes an instant favorite during any Kauai trip.

Cute little coffee shop serving baked pastries. The coffee drinks are really good. They have pre made malasada’s. The prices for the premade Malasads is a bit more on the expensive side for what it is. Overall good place for a quick grab and go.

Very tasty malasadas. Plain are $1.50 and fantastic. Also tried 2 filled (passion fruit & ube) both yummy, $3.50 each. Excited to come back again on our trip.

Great experience! Staff were super nice and pleasant. Amazing pastries. I personally had the Cranberry Walnut Coffee Cake and would highly recommend. Get there early for more options and savory goods
