Crema's Take

This intimate West Orange gem proves that good things come in small packages—their breakfast is genuinely show-stopping, with crispy-edged French toast, gooey eggs, and home fries that hit every textural note just right. The vibe is quaint and unhurried, the kind of place where you linger over real maple syrup and actually talk to the people you came with, all at prices that won't make you wince. It's earned its stellar reputation honestly: fresh ingredients, genuine care in the cooking, and a warmth that has regulars coming back like it's their second kitchen.

Quaint and charming little place. Came based on all the positive reviews. Very clean and nice, reasonably priced. I was expecting it to be bigger to be honest. Not that many table for a diner. So You could be waiting a bit if the place fills up quick which was the case when we arrived for valentines day brunch. So if you're traveling from quite a ways, you go at your own risk. Might be best to stay local.

The New West Orange Diner is officially that spot. I came in hungry and left genuinely emotional (in the best way) because the food was TOO too good. I ordered the pancakes, home fries, and turkey sausage, and let me tell you… every single thing on that plate understood the assignment. The pancakes were fluffy, warm, and just the right amount of sweet—like a hug you can eat. The home fries were perfectly cooked with that crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside magic (I was picking them up like they were snacks and I’m not ashamed). And the turkey sausage? So good I had to pause for a second because I wasn’t expecting it to be hitting like that. But it’s not just the food—this place has an amazing vibe. It feels welcoming the second you walk in, like the kind of diner you want to bring your friends to and be like, “Trust me.” The service was also top tier: friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, the kind of people who make you want to come back even if you weren’t obsessed with the food… but you will be, so it’s a win-win. Real talk: this is a real gem. I don’t say that lightly. This is the type of place you randomly find and then suddenly you’re telling everybody about it like you’re on the payroll (I’m not… but I should be). 100/10, highly recommended, and yes—I’m absolutely coming back because one visit was not enough!!!!!

Absolutely loved the New West Orange Diner! The food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick, which made the whole experience even better. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a clean, modern touch that still feels cozy and classic. They have the Christmas decor up, it’s so cozy. It’s the perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, or a casual dinner. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

If breakfast had a fan club, this plate would be the president. The French toast came out golden and perfectly crisp on the edges, soft in the center, and kissed with just enough butter and powdered sugar to make you want to write poetry about brunch. The fried eggs and melted cheese formed a rich, savory duo, while the bacon added that glorious salty crunch that ties it all together like a well-executed symphony of comfort food. The coffee? Smooth, warm, and strong enough to restore your faith in early mornings. Every sip felt like a friendly wake-up call wrapped in a hug. Our server was a gem—attentive without hovering, quick with refills, and genuinely cheerful. You could tell they cared about the experience as much as the food itself. As for the ambience, the sunlight pouring through the window, the soft hum of relaxed chatter, and that comforting aroma of fresh brew made it the kind of place where you lose track of time—in the best way. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — A breakfast worth savoring, right down to the last buttery crumb.
