Artisana Bread

Crema's Take
“Artisana is a genuine European-style bakery where sourdough and laminated pastries made with quality butter are the main event—expect croissants that shatter into perfect flakes with every bite. The weekend crowd knows this is the place for legitimately excellent baked goods at honest prices, backed by genuinely warm staff and a neighborhood vibe that's earned serious loyalty from people willing to travel across Houston just for a visit.”

Really legit bakery specializing in sourdough and laminated pastries (layered dough like croissants). You can really taste the high-quality butter in the pastries!! Go on Saturdays and Sundays for more variety!
We are so happy to leave a stellar review for the folks at Artisana. We are new to the neighborhood and heard about the bakery from a friend who lives nowhere nearby: high praise. We got their homemade sourdough for my dad who can’t have salt and it has no additives or preservatives. We loved the chocolate almond croissant that melted into juiciness (see photo!) and the berry cheese danish—which I’d never heard of and loved. My partner loved the pepperoni danish—again, who knew? Can’t wait to frequent the place more often and chat with the lovely folks who own it and work there :)
Artisana on Pinemont is a superior first class OMG bakery. The croissants are perfect. When you bite into them they flake all over you exactly as a great croissant should. European butter. Order the chocolate almond one and have them heat it so the chocolate is all melty and creamy. The sourdough breads are excellent. Highly recommended. After the really bad experience that I had at that highly touted bakery in Friendswood, what a pleasure to visit a place that does everything right.
Came here to pick up a to good to go order. Purchased a medium bag for $5 with a value of $15. Inside was a sweet danish and a whole sourdough loaf, definitely worth it! The staff were very friendly. Not a huge seating area but also wasn’t crowded for seating either.
Decent pastries here as far as bake goes but we found the flavors to be a little flat vs other spots in town. Still - great variety and service. We got the following, with asterisks to indicate what we enjoyed - Chocolate Chip $ Pecan Cookie - Chocolate Almond Croissant* - Pistachio & Orange Blossom Roll - Cream & Berries Kouign Amann - Cinnamon Sugar Bomb Kouign Amann - Almond & Cranberry Scone - Cardamom Bun - Brisket & Egg Danish
