Yolk & Crumb

Crema's Take
“This Worcester bakery is a genuine French-inspired gem where the croissants are the real star, with reviewers consistently marveling at their architectural perfection—those impossibly flaky, pillowy layers that taste like they've been imported straight from Paris. Beyond the pastries, they're pulling quality espresso drinks that let good beans shine through simply and cleanly, creating a complete experience that feels worlds away from typical Worcester coffee shops. The care evident in every laminated layer and the freshness of their daily bakes suggest this is a place worth waking up early for, where both coffee and pastry get the respect they deserve.”

Absolutely loved my experience here! The croissant was incredible.. super rich, perfectly flaky, and clearly made with care. The desserts were just as impressive, but the standout for me was the caprese croissant… truly amazing and so well balanced. The coffee was excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole visit even better. I’m very glad I stopped by and will definitely be coming back! 🥐☕
These bakeries brought me back to my trip to France. The layers on the croissant are a work of art. They’re both crunchy and pillowy soft. Absolutely incredible!!!!
Been trying to get here early enough to get some of these croissants. Today we made it, second in line. First impression is that they are enormous and beautiful. The first taste is like biting into a buttery cloud, so incredibly light and delicious. Best croissant I have ever had, it had at least 50 layers, simply AMAZING! Only improvement would be if they sell hot coffee to those waiting in line outside for them to open.
the Yolk and Crumb out did pastry shops in Worcester on a rainy Saturday morning. their vanilla latte was smooth and simple with good beans brewed well. I enjoyed the quality of ingredients used with exceptional technique. the chocolate chip cookie - thick, chewy with crisp edges had softly sweet flavors topped with a hint of salt. I could have done without the dollup of ganache in the middle. the croissant was elegantly laminated, light and flaky with just the right amount of rich buttery flavor. I also enjoyed the chorizo cheddar scone which packed the umami in a small square powerhouse of taste. lastly, on my inaugural visit, I chose an almond croissant which was hot off the rack. with subtle almond notes and plenty of frangipane, it might have been better had it sat to cool, but was still better than most.
I ordered the croissants and absolutely loved them! Freshly baked, crisp, and full of flavor. A wonderful new bakery—can’t wait to try more items!
