Crema's Take

This beloved Colombian coffee roastery in Rye has mastered the art of creating those rare third-place moments where impeccable craft meets genuine warmth—their in-house roasted beans shine through in deeply complex lattes and carefully pulled espresso shots that clearly reflect their sourcing expertise. What keeps people coming back isn't just the excellent coffee, but the thoughtfully decorated space and the kind of wholesome, welcoming energy that makes it feel less like a transaction and more like being invited into someone's coffee-loving world.

I loved this place so much It is a Colombian coffee shop that just had the best vibe ever, The decorations they have in the shop are also to literally die for. They also roast their coffee in house and seem to have a roaster in their space which is incredibly cool!! The baristas and Owner were all so friendly and so extremely nice they made us feel so welcome :) we were chatting with the owner and he said he started the place cuz he’s originally from Colombia and wanted to combine 2 of his favorite things, Coffee + his Home which I think is just amazing it’s a hidden gem for sure, would 100% recommend this place to anyone who’s thinking of going the vibe is so cute in there and the people who work there are so so so welcoming it’s adorable!

I originally left a review but in re reading decided it was unfair.i commented on the clientele and the "vibe"which has little to do with product and value...I will say however when a restaurant relies on a vibe to do well it should be noted that eventually the vibe stops vibing.Heres my honest review...they serve local bagels and donuts from quality bakers which are quite good and the Baristas look like they are skilled.I like that the owner is quite hands on and responsive to concerns.I bought 12oz.of Beans which were VERY PRICEY...they were roasted really nice and other than the high price id recommend them. The response from the owner was about cost BUT the Competition Roasts thier own but are way less expensive...15.00 for a FULL POUND VS. 21.00 FOR 12oz...overall its decent quality but my issue is price AND the Competition has a loyalty program...some things to think about.

In discovering La Mulita, I can confidently say it has transformed my appreciation for coffee! This gem specializes in hand-curated, artisanal roasted coffee sourced from Colombia, and every cup is a testament to the craft and passion behind it. The owner is the roaster and incredibly knowledgeable and eager to share his expertise, guiding anyone through their selection of beans, each with unique flavor profiles that reflect the rich Colombian heritage. The baristas are truly experts in their craft and I could truly taste the love and care that went into each cup made. I appreciate La Mulita’s commitment to quality and sustainability. It's evident that they prioritize ethical sourcing and artisanal roasting, which not only excels the coffee experience but also supports the farmers of Colombia. If you’re looking for a place that will elevate your coffee experience and leave you craving more, give this place a try. This is a coffee shop that celebrates the art of roasting coffee.

I wish there were more stars..... equal to the stars I had in my in my eyes when I walked in here. I had read that it was a sweet & welcoming place.. which is why I came (I need that), & I was most certainly not disappointed 🙏 Lovely warm aromatic atmosphere, Lovely warm aromatic coffee (with cardamom syrup) presented with an expertly crafted heart atop my brew... Lovely warm aromatic bagel~ absolutely encrusted with seeds~ & with absolutely enough (as much as I would use in the privacy of my own kitchen 😎) end-to-end, of delicious dairy-free cream cheese. And last but not least~ truly lovely, warm (and probably aromatic, due to this profession 😎) people, creating these delights with expertise, patience, and charm. Go there and feel blessed.💛

One of the BEST latte’s I’ve had in a while!! The taste is deep, not burnt, and complex (probably due to them roasting their own coffee). Also, the coffee is strong haha. The vibes are wholesome and humble. They have an assortment of pastries for noms. There’s even some coffee gifts and merch that are really cute. They truly care about Colombian coffee and its art. The coffee bean bags everywhere really contribute to the vision. Wish I wasn’t visiting so I could come to this place everyday.
