SPoT Coffee

Crema's Take
“This Buffalo cornerstone has earned its reputation as an espresso-focused destination where the coffee and pastries genuinely shine, though the experience feels inconsistent—some visitors rave about kind, engaging baristas who offer great recommendations, while others report cold service and disappointing food quality that doesn't match the premium pricing. If you catch the right shift, you'll find yourself in a welcoming spot perfect for lingering over a thoughtfully made drink and a red velvet muffin, but it seems the team's mood and attention to detail varies enough that it's worth approaching with tempered expectations.”

Red velvet muffin was nice. But I didn’t even feel this unwelcome in Toronto yesterday as an American as I do at SPoT Coffee right now. Both the cashier and barista need to consider back of the house roles. Sad
Love this place to bits. Coffee’s great, food is great, and the people that work here are the best. They are always incredibly kind and so fun to chat with. And they always have great recs for new things to try if you’re not sure what you want. I always leave this place feeling cozy and perfectly caffeinated. Shout out Jake and Grant ✨
It was 7 am I walked in with a smile to order a coffee. The employee who was working seem to have a mood disorder. He was wearing his hoodie on his head and looking down to avoid conversation with customers. When I greeted him to say good morning he gave me a death stair and basically said I am not feeling good. I feel if your not able to socialize then don't work in an environment that requires you to interact with customers. I felt uncomfortable, I don't want to go back there anytime soon. I go to Spots coffee to enjoy the art work and boost my mood. The vibe in Spots makes you feel happy. To have an employee who is behaving like a child with his emotions makes me feel like I can't talk with this individual to get service. Thank you. I will find a new coffee spot
I recently ordered the grilled cheese for takeout and was really disappointed. This used to be one of my go-to orders before COVID—it was always loaded with melted cheese and fresh tomato, and absolutely delicious. This time, though, there was barely any cheese and no tomato at all. For a $10 sandwich, that was especially frustrating. I hope this was just an off day, because I know this place can do much better.
Ordered breakfast sandwich, avocado toast and ice coffee. $30 later. Received an over seasoned avocado toast and a sandwich as pictured below with crumbs of bacon. Never again.
