Caffe Italia
1704 India St, San Diego, CA
Crema's Take
“This San Diego gem expertly balances traditional Italian espresso craftsmanship with creative specialty drinks like the signature Caffe Emmeline and velvety espresso mousses, earning consistent praise for quality that keeps customers returning. The thoughtfully designed space—with inviting indoor and outdoor seating—cultivates the perfect environment for lingering over coffee and pastries or catching up with friends, though arrive early to beat the crowd. While their homemade pastries shine (the carrot cake is a standout), pay attention to execution details, as some items like the tiramisu benefit from a baker's careful touch.”

Nice atmosphere with different seating options indoors and outdoors. Drinks were good: red velvet latte and the caffe emmline. Tiramisu was a little dry (lady fingers weren't soaked in coffee first). Overall would go again and it's right in the heart of Little Italy under the sign
Very nice small coffee place with some breakfast/lunch options. White mocha was good, I feel like it would be better sweeter but that’s my preference. Sadly it was crowded and hot inside, (got crowded right after the picture was taken) it’d be nice if the outdoor seating were available even in the rain.
My wife was wanting a cup of coffee and I wanted some gelato, the first time we went by the place they gave me a small gelato and my wife got her coffee, had to go back a second time we liked it so much, wasn’t disappointed, same friendly barista working the counter, really enjoyed it, look forward to returning.
Carrot cake for breakfast? Yes, please! It was delicious!! The drinks and parfait were good. My son got the Espresso Mousse, I believe it was called. Very rich and tasty as well. They had a cute little back patio with artsy wall paintings of nature. We enjoyed our stop here.
Had the best experience here this past Sunday, super friendly staff. I had an iced matcha and it was great and my sister had an espresso that she enjoyed. Along with a bagel and their little Italy toast! The best part was the group of dogs we saw with the friendliest owners! 🥰 definitely worth the visit
