This is my first time visiting this place, and it was really amazing. The customer service provided by Jennifer and Litzandra working the evening shift on Thursday was outstanding. One of them recommended the Lechón Sandwich. The pork had crunchy skin, and it was absolutely delicious! The coffee was also excellent. I came all the way from Orlando, and it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try good Cuban food. 10 out of 10! And a special thank you for the two girls working that evening for that great service!

First time trying it and I really like it. I’d return and try other things. Great selection of pastries. The iced cafecito is really good, even without sugar. Tried the Popeyes sandwich and the spinach croquettes and cilantro sauce work well together. Place is clean and staff are friendly. Try the place out.

My friend purchased a velvet cake for me without knowing that it contained cream cheese frosting which I am allergy with. The cake was completely untouched. Before returning to the store, we called in advance to ask if we could exchange it for another cake. The first employee placed us on hold for about five minutes. Then another employee came on the line and confirmed, “Yes, you can bring it in and we will exchange it,” while apologizing for her limited English. Based on that confirmation, we thanked her and drove all the way from Gardens back to the store. When we arrived, we were given a completely different answer. The server said she would contact the manager, but we were not allowed to speak with the manager directly. The server communicated with the manager by phone in another language, and then typed a response into Google Translate on her phone to show us: “Once the item leaves the store, it cannot be exchanged.” We explained again that we had called beforehand and were clearly told to bring the cake in for an exchange. The server contacted the manager again and then typed the exact same message on her phone—without any further explanation, accountability, or apology for the misinformation we were given over the phone. This situation could and should have been handled properly during the initial call. Had we been told the correct policy, we would not have wasted our time and gas driving back to the store. The lack of clear communication and unwillingness to let us speak directly with a manager made the experience even more frustrating. To make matters worse, the cake was not fresh. It tasted old and dry, and we cannot eat it or give it to anyone. It is going to be thrown away. This was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. I hope the owner reviews staff training, communication procedures, and customer service standards to prevent this from happening to other customers. P/S: receipt on the same day $40 dollars for a cake with horrible customer service on the phone….and no manager came to talk or even apologize when we showed up there. Reviewed was writting on the car when my friend was drving me back.

Pinecrest Bakery has that authentic Cuban bakery vibe with so many delicious options to choose from! The empanadas are amazing — definitely my favorite. The natural orange juice is the best part, so fresh and full of flavor. It’s a little on the pricey side, but totally worth it for the quality and taste. Highly recommend!
