Rooted Grounds

7499 Augusta National Dr, Orlando, FL

★★★★4.0(22 Google reviews)

Crema's Take

Rooted Grounds operates as a hybrid café tucked within a Marriott hotel in Orlando, offering a quiet retreat with dedicated outdoor seating and workable wifi for laptop visitors—though you'll want to manage expectations around internet speeds. While reviews are mixed on coffee quality and milk steaming consistency, the shop stands out for its broader appeal with smoothies, matcha tea, and even a small gift shop stocked with essentials like aspirin, making it a convenient spot for travelers or hotel guests seeking something beyond typical lobby coffee.

Trash coffee, don't know how to steam milk properly, way too hot, burned my tongue on it. And that was after waiting a good five minutes for it to cool down! It also smells funny inside, very chemically. You can't smell the coffee being made. Overall avoid if possible.

This is just a coffee shop run in a Marriott hotel. It has a dedicated area with some outside seating. Prices are decent. Internet speeds are a little slow, but workable(6mbps). Coffee itself was decent for a hotel, better than the in-room coffee at least. Plenty of seating and easily accessible.

When I had my breakfast sandwich warmed up, the top bun as well as egg white were stained in red. It seemed the colour transferred from the wrapping paper. And my hands got all red from holding the sandwich while eating. It left red stains on table as well. Suggestion to the cafe owner: change the wrapping paper to an oven-safe neutral colour parchment paper, or get the sandwich out before putting it into the oven.
