Crema's Take

This charming spot on historic South Jackson Street blends local coffee with deep community storytelling, where owner Valerie transforms a simple visit into an immersive education about Montgomery's pivotal civil rights history. It's equal parts souvenir shop and gathering place, perfect for lingering over a traditional cup while absorbing the area's rich heritage just steps from the King home. The warmth here comes straight from Valerie's genuine passion for connecting visitors with the significance of where they're standing.

I had the pleasure of visiting Tours of Montgomery. It is a shop to not only purchase some memorable but also to learn about the historical significance of the area. The shop owner is phenomenal. She was so kind, welcoming, and informative. I would highly recommend that if you’re in the area to stop by.

Ms. Val was amazing! She knows so much about this area and the history of Montgomery. I learned more from her in 30 minutes about MLK and the history there than I had ever before. This place is definitely worth a visit, so put it on your places to go if visiting Montgomery.

Ms Val is the best. We are visiting from Ohio and didn't know much about the area. Her shop is located just down the street from the King home. She was extremely charming and knowledgeable about all things Montgomery. She took us on a short tour. I learned a lot in a short period of time. Her shop is a treasure as well. Lots of good things to buy. I highly recommend her shop. Ms Val is a former Lt Colonel with the Alabama Guard. Thank you for your service.
