Crema's Take

This Hartford institution excels at the art of the slow, satisfying meal—the kind of place where you settle in with a cappuccino and house-made pastries while the kitchen takes its time crafting standout pizzas with crisp, airy crusts and thoughtful toppings like shrimp scampi. The warm, family-friendly atmosphere and forgiving staff make it equally perfect for a cozy rainy afternoon date or managing a table of chaotic requests, with a small bar area to sip on a pint while you wait. Beyond the pizza, their house breads and cannoli are distinctive enough to keep regulars coming back, though their soups might be hit or miss.

Finally got a chance to try their pizza, Wow!!!! It all works in perfect harmony. Crust, sauce, & cheese. Crisp airy crust, flavorful sauce, and the perfect amount of wonderful cheese. I am definitely coming back! Shout out to Brenden, apologize if I misspelled, pizza master, you were right, I did enjoy! Thank you!!!! I will definitely be back!!!!

1st time here. Waitstaff was generous and forgiving of our large group of dysfunctional requests. Food was reasonably priced. I ordered the chowder, uck.. yuck. I hope it wasn't from a bag purchased from Blount foods. BTW, Blount makes soups for every major restaurant in the country and located in Fall River. My calamari was low grade. Being from RI I know a good Rhode Island calamari. There were about 10 squid rings with lots of fried pepper rings and other stuff. Calamari does not need fried pepper rings, that's the beauty. The raisin bread and foccaccia were wonderful. I don't speak for the other friends entries. But could the owner please ask the staff not to wear political baseball caps. That alone will reduce your clientele unless that's your desire

Great Italian restaurant with superb pizza. Had a small bar area to grab a pint while waiting for table. The Margherita pizza with pepperoni was delicious. The house breads were all very good. Highly recommend having a reservation during peak dinner/lunch times.

On a rainy afternoon in Hartford, Connecticut, I had the joy of treating my oldest daughter to a cozy, traditional Italian birthday meal. She indulged in a rich Cioppino. I had the hearty lasagna, and a crisp side salad. Not to be outdone, my younger daughter went for a custom-made bacon and broccoli pizza — a perfect comfort food for a rainy day.

The shrimp scampi pizza is the best I've ever had and the cannoli have a flavor so unique and amazing that you won't find anywhere else. The food never disappoints. I highly recommend this place.
