Coffee Girl
2100 Kanoelehua Ave A6, Hilo, HI
Crema's Take
“Tucked away in Hilo, Coffee Girl crafts inventive specialty drinks like their legendary banana bread latte that'll make you forget every cup you've had in years, paired with thoughtfully made pastries like their pistachio muffins that taste more like homemade cake than coffee shop fare. The space itself is a charming, Instagram-worthy gem where attention to detail shines through in everything from heart-shaped straws to a quiet atmosphere perfect for lingering with your laptop or settling in after a volcano adventure. Their menu constantly surprises with creative seasonal specials, making each visit feel like discovering something new rather than ordering the same drink twice.”

This coffee shop was so delicious. We stopped after a day at Volcanos Nat’l park and my husband ordered the banana bread latte. He said it was the “best coffee I’ve had in the last 3 years”. That’s high praise from a guy who drinks coffee daily. Hannah was a great barista and recommended the pink macchiato. It was also delicious. Highly recommend
Coffee Girl is such a gem! Their coffee is consistently delicious smooth and flavorful. I love how creative their menu is; there’s always something new and fun to try, from seasonal specials to unique flavor combos you won’t find anywhere else. The avocado toast is hands down the best buildable with so many yummy topping choices that make it different every time. Their muffins are also so good soft, fresh, and the perfect treat to go with your coffee. The shop itself is the cutest in town cozy, inviting, and full of charm. Definitely one of my favorite coffee spots on the island!
This quiet, unassuming spot will be a favorite after your first visit. The chicken w avocado panini was bursting with flavor and the pistachio muffin tasted more like angle food cake than a muffin. 10/ 10 must visit. We had a variety of drinks and each one was carefully curated for maximum aesthetic appeal. The ghosts on the cotton candy drink make us all laugh and the layers of the Ube latte was almost too perfect to mix up and drink. The Baristas definitely take their time to make every item to perfection
Coffee Girl is one of the cutest coffee shops I have ever been to! The attention to detail is obvious (down to the heart shaped straws), and the decor is instagram worthy. They even have a cute little wooden coffee maker toy set for the little ones. The drink menu offered several unique items, ranging from coconut to cinnamon and beyond. The service was quick and friendly. As far as food goes, the options are a little more limited, in the sense that Coffee Girl offers more grab and go options, like muffins and small pastries, rather than a more substantial breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito. Just FYI if you’re looking for something more hearty. There were some awesome sounding avocado toast choices, though we didn’t order any this time. I ordered the honey cinnamon latte, which was delicious! My daughter got the lemonade, which was tasty but quite sweet. Overall, this is a solid choice for a good coffee!
TOO SWEET! I got the Kona Mud Pie Frappe. I really enjoyed the first three sips, but then I regretted having paid $12 for the 24 ounce size because it was clear that I would not be able to finish it. Even for a person like me, who loves desserts, this was just way too icky sweet. It was like diabetes in a cup. I only recommend this beverage to hard core sugar fiends, and even then, only in the 12 ounce size!
