Bluestone Lane Walnut Street Café

Crema's Take

Bluestone Lane's Walnut Street location is a bright, welcoming space that shines for both quick caffeine runs and lingering work sessions, with genuinely thoughtful food that goes beyond typical café fare—their gluten-free breakfast options are exceptional, and their pastries and creative dishes like lemon ricotta waffles actually deliver on the promise of quality. While the espresso machine is professional-grade, your experience really depends on which barista is behind the counter, so consistency can be hit-or-miss, but when things click, this spot becomes an easy favorite for meeting friends or settling in with your laptop.

From a celiac this was the BSST BREAKFAST I’ve ever had. The peanut butter banana blueberry smoothie was out of this world. I got the GF granola, yogurt with lemon curd… INCREDIBLE. Also got GF egg and cheese with chipotle aoli… RIDICULOUS. Best smoothie, and breakfast sandwich I ever had. (Sorry ate the sandwich before I thought about taking photos.) It even came with a salad. Will return. #celiacsafe

Whether you are looking for a cozy spot to do your work, getting a quick drink to go, or enjoying a meal that won’t leave you hungry… Bluestone is the place to be! The environment is so welcoming! As soon as you walk in the server greeted me and immediately anticipated what I may need to feel comfortable and satisfied. The Barista obviously took her time to make a quality drink. My latte was delicious and the presentation of the latte art was a lovely addition! I ordered the BL burrito that comes with a side salad. It was more than enough.. definitely a large portion as well as being very flavorful. The server once again anticipated my needs and asked if I needed a box and bag for my leftover burrito! After checking out I was given a warm goodbye. I will definitely be coming back here with my friends!!

Spacy and light area, tasty fresh bakery, friendly service. Upscale La Marzocco coffee machine, but barista not up to the standards. No chance to get proper Latte, even on the second try…

My friend and I had been to this convenient cafe a few times over the years but this was our first time visiting on a Sunday. While the cafe had multiple available tables we were told -not asked, to sit and wait until a table was ready. We were fine waiting and soon were ushered to a small table. Menus were left with us and we then waited (too long) to order. My friend ordered the granola while I ordered a side of eggs and the "Toast Bar". We both ordered beverages, coffee and a latte. The background music was uncomfortably loud and my friend and I had difficulty hearing each other. When the food arrived we were "surprised" by the presentation and later, by the costs.... although we had eaten here before. It wasn't that 2 eggs, a slice of gluten free toast and a coffee cost $16. It was - well the photo says it all. I had to request butter or jam for the single slice of dry toast- remember, this is called "Toast Bar". And flagging down a server was not easy either. While this place was never a "must-go-to" it's now a "never-go-to" for my friend and me.

Really loved my visit here. We ordered Avocado smash, lemon ricotta waffles, plain and chocolate croissants. The service was pretty quick. I loved the ambience as well, would definitely come back!
