I love the fruity black tea + sugar-free red bull + boba. It's so refreshing, I'm literally addicted.
The energizer black tea was a great boost, and we really enjoy their selection of snacks. I love that this is right around the corner! ❤️
I got the pork bao bun and a melon cream soda. The prices were great. And the food was so good I was legitimately surprised. I don't normally leave reviews. But I had to give these guys a shout. I couldn't eaten like 12 of those things they were so good
Okay, so I stopped by this store and saw a sign that threw me off: “Pay by cash and save 4% – All prices shown are for cash sales. Salem residents get 6% off with ID.” Here’s the thing: if you’re using a credit card, the price you see on the shelf might NOT be what you pay at the register. I looked it up later, and Massachusetts law explicitly bans stores from charging extra for credit card use. Cash discounts are allowed, but this feels sneaky – like they’re advertising the “discounted” cash price upfront and hiding a 4% upcharge for cards. Not cool. I’m all for supporting local businesses, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. If you shop here, ask the staff directly if credit card users pay more than the displayed price. And if something feels off, the MA Attorney General’s office has clear guidelines about this stuff (Google “MA credit card surcharge law” – it’s worth a quick read!). TL;DR: Check your receipt if you use plastic here. You might be surprised.
Update: They have yummy onigini (made fresh all day)! We tried spicy crab and the charsu pork, both very good. There's also some bakery breads and loads of ice cream. The owners are super nice and encourage local, residents get a discount. - Cute Asian drink/banh mi/grocery store right on the edge of downtown Salem. The vegetables seemed fresh, and though items were a little expensive it's reasonable tradeoff for convenience. There's a good mix of novelty items (rare snack flavors) and basics like popular chocolates and chips. Of interest is the variety of ice cream flavors, pickled kimchi and vegetables, herbs including fresh Thai basil and lemon grass, and stuffed plushies. We enjoyed the banh mi which was flavorful and on a delicious crusty baguette - wish there was slightly more meat in the charsui, but the chicken one is great and fully loaded. There's a rewards program you can get 1 drink free after 9 drinks. They also started selling chargers and cute jewelry accessories. They have an ATM, and a small seating area to eat at.
