Qargo Coffee
1600 K St NW, Washington, DC
Crema's Take
“This espresso-focused DC spot boasts a stunning architectural design that draws people in, though the experience hinges heavily on which barista is behind the counter—some customers rave about the atmosphere and skillfully crafted drinks, while others report frustratingly inconsistent service. The coffee itself is solid (their iced espresso uses Lavazza beans), and the beautiful space paired with quality pastries makes it worth a visit during off-peak hours when you might catch one of their friendlier team members like Quinn.”

Place was really nice coffee was good but the person checking us out was extremely rude and not willing to help. Very unprofessional. Made me wait in front of the register for 10minutes just to print out the receipt.
I was really excited to try this place and was so disappointed. 7 dollars for a “medium” and came like this. Barista did not greet me, took my order, walked away to do something with the door, made my drink and then turned the light off in the area I was sitting. THEN told me the store was closing an hour early. Meanwhile, 3 men in business suits got to stay and chat? Not sure if it was just a bad day for Quargo or what but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The space itself is beautiful and the staff was very sweet, but the atmosphere wasn’t for me. The music was extremely loud with a playlist that felt more suited to a bar, and the smoothies didn’t seem to be made from real fruit. I couldn’t handle staying for long.
Came here on a Monday afternoon. Ordered an iced espresso which was a Lavazza Brand- it was good. Nothing out of this world but for a simple coffee -no complaints. The ladies were nice at the counter and the place is fun when enjoying a corner seat
From the moment I walked in , it was an amazing atmosphere & vibe , I love the architectural look , the smiling baristas HUGE shout out to Quinn , had tried 3 different hand crafted drinks all super fabulous , favorite was a frappe (caramel by choice) I love the fact I could actually taste the coffee in it & must I say phenomenal is an understatement for the new coffee shop !!!! sorbets = TOP NOTCH !! Must have in the summertime for sure !! I also tried a can drink out of curiosity , it was the iced tea with rose petals lemon , I’ve never been a fan of sparkling anything but this was lovely & refreshing !!
