Crema's Take
“Beloved Cafe is a plant-based haven where the women owners' genuine warmth and intentional slowness invite you to actually pause during your day, paired with thoughtfully crafted bowls and an impressive selection of specialty teas that go well beyond the basics. The space hums with care—from the nourishing, creative menu featuring standouts like avocado toast and green goddess bowls to the kind of hospitality that keeps regulars coming back, making it feel less like a coffee shop and more like a place where you're genuinely welcome.”

The food is healthy and the menu is unique. I’ve also met the owner before and had a pleasant interaction, which is why I keep coming back. However, the cashier’s attitude has been consistently very hostile and selective. I come in almost every weekend since it’s close to my class, and I’ve noticed non-brown customers being greeted warmly, offered water, and helped with the menu. When I come in, the demeanor noticeably changes to a much colder, standoffish attitude. Never experienced that in a latin owned business in sf ever. Maybe it’s coincidence, and i like to think so, but after experiencing it several times it’s hard to ignore. It’s a shame because the food is great, but the service experience really takes away from it. Hate spending my money here only because of this reason.
El Cacao es el mejor del mundo! With salsa music playing todo el tiempo:) Nutty, woody, sweet, thick, and smooth con coconut water. The women owners are so caring and hard working. Good for the body y corazón ♥️♥️
This is my favourite place in SF. It’s wholesome in environment and in quality of the food. The ladies running it as so kind and the slow pace here gives you permission to slow down and enjoy the food. You can’t go wrong with any item on the menu. My top choices however are the Buddha berry bowl, dal soup, nori wrap, berries and homemade granola, and the kale salad with tempeh. Edited to add photos and written review.
Small, but lovely place with easily some of the best food I ever had. The avocado toast is right up my alley. I also had the green goddess bowl, as well as the healthy glow bowl. And try the teas! Filtered coffee is available, too. The service is out of this world. It is a lovely family running the place and you can tell that this place is very important to them. Also, I witnessed a lot of local regulars coming in, which is always a good sign.
Didn’t realize this when I originally looked it up, but I love that this place is plant-based and vegan. The food is absolutely delicious without being processed or unhealthy. Got the quinoa bowl with nut hummus which was so good! They also make a great pour over👌 they also have cute outdoor seating right by the dance studio. will definitely be back again & again!
