The Coffee Fox
102 W Broughton St, Savannah, GA
Crema's Take
“This historic Savannah spot doubles as both a serious coffee destination and an evening bar, drawing crowds with creative signature drinks like their beloved horchata latte alongside expertly pulled espresso and pour overs. The baristas genuinely care about your experience, offering thoughtful suggestions and willing to customize drinks, though their house matcha comes pre-sweetened if that matters to you. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a lingering coffee date, a quick pastry run, or settling in for a full breakfast before exploring the surrounding shops.”

Stopped by here on a whim while on a date and found an awesome coffee spot. They also double as a bar. We both got pastries which were good and mochas.
The matcha latte is SWEET. I asked if they could remake it for me without the sweetener, but the matcha powder itself is sweetened. Please consider changing your matcha to a more traditional ceremonial version!!! Some of us are just looking for calm, focused energy in the morning…not an accidental dessert🥲
The barista was very sweet and suggested the horchata latte, which is a best seller. I absolutely loved it. The espresso was strong but not overbearing, and the vanilla with a hint of cinnamon blended really well together. It was a very solid coffee. The atmosphere was bright and cheery and aesthetically rather retro. Apparently on Fridays they offer $3 lattes and lone coffees from 5-8, which I would definitely take advantage of!
We found coffee fox by accident! We were surprise to find out that it was the location of Tondee’sTavern where the sons of liberty met! I am shocked there isn’t more pride in this historic site! However the pastries here are wonderful. I had a savory croissant that was flaky and wonderful. Our drinks were perfect and masterfully made. Love this place!
Whenever I'm in Savannah with my sister, this place is always packed. It's right near all the shopping so you can't miss it. I wrote it down as a place to visit the next time we're in the city. This time around it was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel, so we decided to stop in for breakfast and coffee before a walking tour. We popped in around 8:30 am and there were only about two others inside. I recommend you stop by early if you want to avoid the crowds! If you scan the QR code and complete the survey you can get 15% off of your order. The two baristas were very friendly and served us quickly. I got a cafe con leche and a butter croissant, my sister got a Mexican mocha and a ham and cheese croissant. The pastries and coffee were delicious! We were able to sit at the roomy bar and leisurely enjoy our breakfast on a chilly morning before starting the day. My only "complaint" is that they forgot to ask if we were dining in or not, so they wound up taking our pastries out of the bags and put them on plates instead. I was also surprised when the coffee was served in paper cups, but I'm not sure if that's just the way it's done here. I'd definitely recommend The Coffee Fox to anyone looking for a good morning pick-me-up!
