Whitecaps Sweets & Treats

Crema's Take
“Whitecaps Sweets & Treats is a frozen custard destination that takes its craft seriously, offering a noticeably richer and creamier product than standard ice cream, with rotating flavors and generous topping options that keep customers coming back for pints to take home. While the custard itself earns consistent praise for its quality and consistency—especially creative flavor combinations like Rocco's Ruckus—the experience can be hit-or-miss depending on which staff member is behind the counter, so you might want to catch them on a good day for that perfect creamy treat.”

The custard at Whit’s is truly excellent. We tried the banana pudding flavor, and it was outstanding. However, as many others have shared, the customer service is terrible. The girls on duty last night were rude and unwelcoming, creating a rushed and uncomfortable atmosphere. I was not greeted upon entering and was abruptly asked for my order without being given time to review the menu. I had planned to purchase some of their pre-packaged items as well, but felt so pressured by the worker waiting to take my order that I chose not to. Even after this uncomfortable encounter, they still felt it appropriate to blatantly ask for a tip. After placing my order, it was brashly set on the counter without any acknowledgment, and the employee walked away. I walked out extremely uncomfortable and won’t be returning. Improving staff professionalism would greatly benefit the business, especially given that these concerns have been echoed by many other customers.
Frozen custard was good but the customer service was not. Tired of these places leaving their businesses in the hands of moody teens that shouldn't be in customer service.
Excellent custard! No, it's not ice cream. Its much better, creamer. Tons of toppings and choices. Don't forget to grab a pint to take home. Customer service was outstanding. Staff was very patient with my 88 year old mom deciding. Amazing treat and outstanding service.
Whit’s Frozen Custard of North Myrtle Beach: Tried Rocco’s Ruckus with Reese’s Cup®, chocolate syrup, and peanut butter—opted for it as a topping. The custard tasted more like regular vanilla ice cream, just less sweet. Also tried the Key Lime flavor; unique, but not extraordinary. My wife and kids enjoyed it, though!
Whit’s Frozen Custard is a new family favorite! The custard is fantastic- we get frozen custard pretty often and haven’t found anything this consistently delicious and creamy across all of the flavors. There are so many delicious combinations, and everything is tasty! We have tried scoops of custard with toppings, whitsers, whitties, sundaes, a banana split and a root beer float- all of which were amazing! The root beer float uses great quality soda and the frozen custard just takes it over the top, this is hands down the best float I have had! As far as toppings go, I have enjoyed all of them, but the brownie bites are more like a chocolate version of cookie dough bites, and I personally prefer more chewy style brownie bites, but this is just my preference! The workers have all been kind, the atmosphere is quaint and inviting, and the frozen custard is absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend Whit’s Frozen Custard of Myrtle Beach to anyone and will be bringing my family and friends to try it!
