Derailer Coffee

Such a cool place! The whole building is several shops wrapped into one, a brewery and coffee shop on the main level, and a toys & vintage store upstairs. I came for the coffee but ended up getting a brew of one of their loose-leaf teas. It was clear the barista was very knowledgeable about what they were serving, and the tea was perfect! They have a long list of house made syrups that all looked delicious, so I will have to try their coffee next time!

Very calm and friendly atmosphere. The ambiance is perfect for slow mornings. My hot chocolate was not quite as sweet as I'd hoped. Almost curious if it was made with dark chocolate. The temperature was perfect though! I would be more likely to come back here if they had an energy drink Italian soda of some sort or more non-coffee options like a smoothie. They currently offer teas, coffee, and I saw "soda" on the menu. Not sure if that refers to a club soda, regular soda, or Italian soda. If there were other options I don't catch it.

My mom and I visited this morning, and this place is great. I tried a miso coffee - so unique, sweet and savory, and filling. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great chat with the owner.

We found ourselves in the Hillyard neighborhood of Spokane and desperate for some good coffee. We landed at Derailer Coffee and were delighted to be treated to delicious coffee served in beautiful stoneware cups with artful presentation. The flavorful coffee was matched with exceptional service and a comfortable, modern atmosphere. This is the best place to have a coffee “experience”.

Great customer service and welcoming attitude. The sanitation of tables in between each user/customer is on point and I love that about them. I wasn’t a big fan of their sweets but it was okay for one time trying it. 😅 The coffee was good though! Since there are multiple businesses located at this same address and there is a bar next to this coffeeshop, it can get very loud at times. Specially one of the bar tenders is veeeeery loud so be prepared. 🎉
