Crema's Take

Mauro's Village Cafe, affectionately called "The Spa" by regulars, is a nostalgic neighborhood gem where fresh coffee and creative breakfast specials (like their beloved "Lean and Mean" dish) fuel both locals and road-trippers seeking an authentic New England breakfast experience. The homey, lively atmosphere draws families and friends for leisurely sit-downs, backed by genuinely friendly service and a menu that thoughtfully includes healthier options alongside classic comfort food. With reliable parking and reliably good pastries and muffins, this is the kind of place where you'll want to linger over your cup and become a regular.

Great and friendly service/staff. I truly enjoyed the food. Especially how the menu has a healthy section. I had the "lean and mean" seriously delicious! If you are ever in southborough, check out this diner!

Mauro’s Village Cafe aka “The Spa” is a lively blast to the past in a homey setting. The food is good and the staff is friendly. This is a great spot for family breakfast or a chill meal to start the day. The picture below is the Main Street Skillet. Their specials are interesting as well. I’ll definitely be back!

The food was tasty, our server was amazing. The cook however was incredibly rude and negatively impacted our whole experience. My niece and I started at the counter as the restaurant was busy. But after we got our food we noticed a table was open and had been for at least 5 minutes. There was no one waiting for a table so we asked if we could move. Our server said absolutely. So we moved all of our stuff to the table. Once we were seated the cook shouted over the kitchen area that we couldn't do that. I told him we asked the server and it was fine. He continued to scowl at me and obviously talk about me with other staff for the remainder of our meal. It was reasonable for us to move to be more comfortable and we had the support of our server. His behavior was uncalled for and just plainly inappropriate. Too bad because this could have gotten 5 stars if it weren't for him! Shout out to the servers, you were all kind and attentive.

One of my favorite spots for breakfast. I love that they always have specials and they are delicious! Their coffee and muffins are good. The service is efficient and friendly. Definitely worth a breakfast stop! Their cuban special and Monte Cristo I am always hoping will be back on the menu when I stop in!

I drove from Pennsylvania looking for an awesome, local, breakfast spot. This is now in my top 10 best breakfasts of all time. Service was excellent. Coffee was fresh and just what I needed. I ordered one of the specials "fall hash" which came with eggs, toast, squash, cranberries, fresh sausage crumbles. I cant emphasize this enough. One of the tastiest best breakfasts ive had. Will definitely be coming back here whenever im in the area again!
