Northern Roots Coffeehouse
300 S Elm St, Greensboro, NC
Crema's Take
“This Greensboro gem earns its stellar rating by nailing the fundamentals with real care—reviewers consistently praise the thoughtful execution of both classic and creative drinks, from a vanilla latte that actually tastes great to a comforting eggnog latte that captures seasonal coziness. The fresh, organic-focused approach extends to their pastries too, like the maple bacon muffin that gets the flavor balance just right, making it feel like breakfast was made with intention rather than convenience. Whether you're settling in for work, meeting a friend, or just looking for a place where the coffee, food, and cozy atmosphere all come together, Northern Roots delivers the kind of reliable, welcoming experience that keeps people coming back.”
What to expect

The staff were kind and helpful. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful when I dropped by. It was a rainy day so, great occasion to read a book and have a cappacinco and some coffee cake. A great local coffee shop in downtown Greensboro.
I’m going to say this, I love everything about this place. Their Banana Bread Matcha is literally so good and i’ve gotten it five times now and it tasted the same every time. Very consistent. I’ll be coming back every week. 10/10

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely cannot recommend this coffee shop enough! The focus on organic ingredients really shows. Everything tasted fresh, clean, and thoughtfully made. From the coffee to the food items, you can tell they care about quality and sustainability. What truly made the…
Eggnog latte was warm comforting and just what you need to get into the holiday season. Had the maple bacon muffin — very good muffin, great maple flavor with just a hint of bacon. The bacon pieces are a bit chewy, so if you like that texture it’s an easy 5/5. For me, it’s more…
