Macadoo's Family Restaurant
2108 Lincolnway E, Mishawaka, IN
Crema's Take
“This Mishawaka institution thrives on classic diner charm and a reputation built on their signature sausage gravy, which locals swear is the best in town—the half and half (biscuits, gravy, and hash browns) seems to be the unofficial house specialty worth the visit. The reviews reveal a spot with genuine soul where families linger over slow, leisurely breakfasts in an authentic diner atmosphere, though service can be inconsistent and the small parking lot gets tight. If you're after traditional comfort food and don't mind the occasional wait, there's real warmth here that keeps people coming back.”

All I asked was I wanted my biscuits on the grill crispy with my sausage gravy an the cook made sure he didn't put them on the grill at all it must of made him mad and the waitress didn't make it right either I'M NOT GOING BACK I don't think I asked to much
Ordered a veggie omelet, it was not good. Rubbery on the outside and overcooked. My son had a fly in his pancakes. The service was terrible. We waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Waitress didn’t bring us napkins or boxes when I asked. Probably won’t return.
If you are looking for good food, friendly service, and diner atmosphere, Macadoo’s is the place for you. The parking might be scarce, and you might take your life into your own hands trying to cross Lincolnway if you are forced to park across the street, but your adventurous spirit will be well-rewarded. Order a cinnamon roll, it will calm your nerves and put everything right with the world. You don’t need me to tell you about the FAMOUS sausage gravy do you? The full parking lot speaks for itself. Go, go now.
Passed by a few times and saw the sign that says they have the best gravy in town, so of course we had to stop in and try the biscuits and gravy! It was VERY good, but not sure it is the best, but it was close. Definitely worth a try!
Went for Breakfast with some family from out of town. I ordered the half and half which is biscuits and gravy with hash browns underneath the gravy.. you think it would be amazing as they sell gallons of the gravy?! It was not good. It was unseasoned and cold. Salt, pepper, and hot sauce didn't even help it. I did not send my food back, I ate what I could. My daughter ordered the cinnamon stuffed French toast. She said it was good but filling. They say our party by the door which is cold and drafty. The place is a cute ma and pop restaurant, but small. The service was amazing! Our server was great. We paid for our food and left. I doubt I'll go back again.
