Crema's Take

Snack Shack is a beloved neighborhood spot where the real magic happens at the counter, thanks to staff like Sherry who treat every customer like family. Their down-home cooking—particularly their legendary pinto beans and crispy fried chicken—paired with genuine Southern sweet tea and malt shakes, makes this a go-to for locals looking for simple, affordable comfort food with a side of real kindness.

"Five stars for the snack shack, but especially for Sherry! She is absolute sunshine and made my visit so much better. Super helpful, professional, and genuinely kind. If you’re stopping by, hope you’re lucky enough to be served by her!"

The service was really friendly. I thought they were closed for the longest time because the sign made it look like they were closed or out of business, I feel like the sign could use some TLC even thought it is old, it would help to bring in more costumers. Overall snack shack is definitely going to be one of my fave places to eat. The fried pickles were my fave, the spicy chicken sandwich is yummy.

Always amazing food and the lady is extremely sweet! Best pinto beans in the county, extremely flavorful, crispy chicken, and delicious malt shakes. They also have a very large menu definitely a chill place to go to get some good food! 10/10 recommended

This was one of our favorites when we first moved to the area. Then something changed. The food used to be fresh and good, but then the fryer oil was clearly old, the quality went way down and the staff would do things like forget items in your order and try to argue with you about it. It became an issue when it was every time something was missing. We would have to check our order before we left. After about 3 times of this on big $100+/- orders we had enough when the food was gross, tasted like old burnt grease and they wanted to act rude when they messed our order up again and then got rude and defensive when we pointed it out.

Food is down home cooking. Simple but delicious. A good deal for what you pay. And true southern sweet tea. The service is always fast and friendly. It seems as though most people will get food to go, but they do have 2 picnic tables you can eat at. The picnic area could stand to have a little updating, but it’s functional. There is Jo accessibility for wheelchair users, but I am sure if you called in an order and when you arrived called and told them you are a chair user they would happily deliver your food to the car.
