Crema's Take

Tea Do is a beloved boba institution in Philly's Chinatown that strikes the perfect balance between creative experimentation and reliable classics—think seasonal surprises like pumpkin spice boba alongside expertly-crafted milk teas that keep regulars coming back. What sets it apart is the combination of lightning-fast service, exceptional value (quality drinks under $5), and impressive customization options that let you dial in your perfect sweetness level and flavor combination. It's the kind of spot where the cafe vibes feel genuine, the staff actually cares, and you leave wondering why more places can't get this formula right.

I got the pumpkin spiced boba since it was a holiday special item. Actually pretty good! I have never seen pumpkin spiced boba before but I thought it was a unique combo. I got it with the lowest amount of sugar possible, which was 30%. That was still pretty sweet, so I wouldn’t get it with a higher amount. They have a lot of unique combos and flavors here.

Very inexpensive and high quality boba spot. The shop is clean and the service is quick. I highly recommend getting the 50% sugar for drinks. Overall great spot to get solid boba for less than $5

Follow me on Instagram for more reviews! @hopeless_ramen_tic 📍 Tea-Do - Philadelphia, PA ⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Drinks: Taro Milk Bubble Tea (70% sweet) – A solid taro milk tea—better than average, but not quite on the level of the best ones I’ve had. – Still pretty sweet at 70%; I probably would have preferred it at 50%. – The boba was cooked well, though I personally would have liked them to be slightly firmer. Tiramisu Milk Bubble Tea (70% sweet) – A unique flavor with a strong coffee base and some subtle additional notes. – Also on the sweeter side—50% sweet would have been a better choice. My boyfriend, Jonathan, and I stopped by after our dinner at Chubby Nori because we can never resist boba. He used to come here when he lived in the area, so we wanted to check it out together. Tea Do has a large selection of flavors and is a solid spot for bubble tea, but it leans on the sweeter side. We would have preferred our drinks with even less sweetness, but overall, they were enjoyable. If you’re in the area, it’s worth stopping by to try one of their many unique flavors.
