Crema's Take
“This beloved donut shop has earned serious praise for genuinely excellent pastries, especially their apple fritters with that perfect crispy edge that reminds regulars of childhood bakery visits. Beyond the classic glazed offerings, they stand out by mixing in savory options like ham and cheese croissants, making it a versatile stop for both sweet and savory cravings. Fair warning: their pricing structure can be sneaky (à la carte picks add up quickly), and the pace can feel hurried when families linger to browse the cases, so manage expectations if you're bringing kids who want to take their time choosing.”

Went to get donuts midday Saturday. We were the only ones in the shop at first. Went with 3 kids. We felt so rushed. Obviously part of the fun is the kids being able to look and pick what kind they want but we probably got asked 5 times in 5 minutes if we were ready and what kind we wanted (although they were friendly) Their glazed and plain donuts are just not my cup of tea, more a vanilla flavoring? This is the second time and I don’t think we will be back.
First off I wanted a dozen donuts and they said it was $17 - the pricing is definitely deceptive because I picked out my 12 donuts and it was $27. I wish they just would have told me that whatever donuts - were not included in the dozen, which I know to be common practice at donut shops. Either way, when checking out I was very shocked by the price increase. I should have said something then and there but I decided to just let it go. I was not going to leave a review for this at all but upon eating the donuts - the quality is just not good. They are subpar at best. To me they were like grocery store donuts that had been sitting all day and I’ve honestly had better from Safeway both flavor and texture wise. The topping-less donuts tasted like fryer oil. It was overall just a bad and expensive experience.
Stoked about DK donuts! It’s so great to have a legitimate donut shop in Nampa! They have the best donuts. I love that they offer savory options as well like ham and cheese croissants. Great selection of coffees, smoothies, and Boba drinks. Huge dining area with lots of places to sit.
Wow!! The donuts are REALLY good. I grew up with my baker dad bringing home donuts, and these are every bit as good. The apple fritters are wonderful with great flavor and that crunch at the edges. The line was long, but the service workers made short work of it. And they were super nice. Gotta say, I'm really impressed and we found our new donut shop! Especially since the open hours work for us. Definitely check it out!!!
Grand opening today and the free donut was much appreciated! I grew up in Nampa going to the local donut shop with my grandparents and have really been missing having a quality donut stop in town. Glad to have you in Nampa! Thank you and welcome!
