Norm's Soda Fountain

It’s very cute. Has a lot of candy options and little Knick-Knack toy/souvenirs. I will say I was a little bummed when I received my order. They were a bit busy and it was an hour before close so they were a little chaotic. I got my food in a bag as I ordered to-go and it was handed to me with the to-go box in it sideways making a mess of the chili dog I ordered. The food was good, fries were not salted that I could tell. The milkshakes were delicious. I will say that I was surprised that they charge you for sauces to go with the fries like ranch. Ketchup was free with it but ranch was not. I’d say for the taste it was a 7/10. I’d go back, cute shop with a lot to offer I’ll just need to come at a less busy time. EDIT: I just ate the “fry” sauce they gave us with the order and my mouth is on FIRE. I have no idea what is in it, I would honestly guess wasabi. I’ve never had fry sauce that tasted this spicy.

The food was great! I had a vienna float (espresso and vanilla ice cream) and it was beautifully overflowing when it reached me at the bar. I felt like I imagined it would be to go into a diner in the 50s, with the decor, chairs, and loads of candy in jars around the store. I wish I had been hungry enough for a burger, because the cook top was in clear view of the bar and you could see they kept everything clean and tidy. 100% would return if I'm in the area.

We were in Kalispell because because we were visiting Logan health and heard about Norms soda shop so we walked over showed up around 7:30 which was a half an hour before closing.. there was a crowd of people hanging out out front seemed really popular and busy.. when we went in and it took a while for somebody to take our order even though we were sitting at the counter.. all the girls seemed pretty busy trying to close up shop.. finally took our order and the presentation of the ice cream and everything was absolutely wonderful!! The kids loved it I even ordered a banana split that was delicious!! After we were done eating we walked around and picked out some candy.. all in all it was a good experience and it was super fun for the kids!! I feel like the girls could have been a little more friendly.. even though we were coming half an hour before closing the customer should not feel like an intruder before closing time.. just saying... Thank you for the experience!! 🙏 And having such a fun business!! You definitely could make a lot of money if you opened a shop in Missoula!! It would be a huge hit!!

A little slice of history. Came to downtown for lunch and happened to walk by. Classic soda fountain… ordered a patty melt and chulo cheese fries. The chili cheese fries were delicious! This is a quaint little shop with quality food and desserts. My son ordered a milkshake who h was also delicious. This is a no frills place serving quality food and lots of nostalgia. Also, walked out with some vintage brand mints. Definitely recommend if your going through downtown Kalispell and are hungry.

Get the Bison burger and the Huckleberry milkshake! You won't be sorry! We went there for lunch on a Friday and it was a little busy, but not terrible. The food was great! Service was great too!
