Grasslands Cafe
Train Station, El Paso, TX
Crema's Take
“This casual El Paso spot delivers quick, satisfying bites with genuinely friendly service—reviewers rave about staff members who go the extra mile to make your visit feel welcome. The outdoor seating and laid-back vibe make it perfect for families, though fair warning that food quality and cleanliness can be inconsistent, and prices skew a bit high for the casual café experience.”

Food is ok, ordered the avocado, bacon burger with fries. It's abit pricey here. Service was okay. Ate outside with some pigeons flying around 😊
The food (Birra Nachos) was very disgusting and cold. I asked if they can at least heat up the meat and they didn’t. Asked again and they replaced the order with not only cold meat again, but the food looked tampered with - we tossed it in the trash. Not worth the energy or time to complain as their management seems very vindictive. I would highly recommend to avoid this place like a plague.
What you would expect from a small “fast food style” restaurant in a zoo. It isn’t the cleanest and definitely on the pricey side, but they do offer military discount and the food comes out very quickly. Also, I must say that I was surprised with how good the food actually looked and tasted! Another good thing is that they do sell alcoholic beverages. There are some beer and carbonated alcohol choices. I’ll probably find myself going back here with my family for food every time I visit the zoo.
Amazing service! The food is good a little expensive but worth it. The place looks clean and fresh. The guy on register (I think his name was Alex or Axel) is one if the nicest and coolest people I’ve met. We had so much fun at the zoo and ate well too. Overall amazing service.!!
The cafe was very clean looking and not crowded, although they were busy. We were limited on funds so we didn't eat here, just bought 3 souvenir cups with ice water to hydrate us in the heat. There was delicious aromas in the air so hopefully during a future visit we can try out the food. I did see they sell the infamous Best Maid Pickle Beer, will have to try it out next time.
