So I took my wife there on Valentine's day to try a new local place and have a mini-date. It was beyond delicious. Their housemade banana nut bread sauce was the ticket. Their drinks are made with quality ingredients and much love. The small complaint we had was that we sat in the drive thru and we feel it could have gone a bit faster had they come out to take our order before we got to the window. - - - update - - - We went back the next day with a friend who wanted to try this place (because we live it so much the first time.) And we decided to walk up instead and as we were waiting for our order, we saw that they were going out to take orders ahead of time. So hopefully that continues to happen to help things run smoother.
The beautiful person with the short red hair made me the best vanilla latte I’ve ever had today. Helpful and welcoming they made my morning brighter during a difficult time. Glad I finally gave it a try!
I didn’t want to like this place. I rode my motorcycle here specifically to not enjoy myself. Leather jacket on, helmet off, mustard already on my cheek from earlier, bad mood fully loaded. Then I drank the coffee, which was a mistake. The coffee is excellent. Annoyingly excellent. The kind of excellent that makes you stare at your cup like it just challenged you to a duel and won. Strong, smooth, and loud in a quiet way. Tastes like discipline. Tastes like waking up at 5 a.m. to rev an engine for no reason. I ordered it black because I don’t trust happiness. It still tasted balanced. That’s suspicious. No bitterness, no weakness, no nonsense. Just coffee doing exactly what coffee should do, which makes me mad because now I have nothing to complain about except myself. The barista was calm, which I don’t respect, and the coffee came out fast, which I do. I nodded at it like it earned my respect. Some foam touched my beard and joined the ketchup already there. That’s not their fault. That’s just how I live. I drank the whole thing standing up, helmet under my arm, glaring at a chair I refused to sit in. The coffee didn’t care. The coffee knew it was the best. I rode away angry, energized, and thinking about coming back tomorrow. Five stars. I hate that.
Not only was the coffee amazing (seriously, it was perfect), but the staff were the best! They helped me choose a drink based off of what I was craving flavor wise and i’m stoked to report the result was so worth it. I could tell the quality of espresso, milk, ice, cups, etc. was high. This is the best shop in the area. I definitely will be coming back :) (I got an iced 16oz Nutcracker ~Jenns way~ with extra ice!)
We've been in from California for the last week and I was so tickled when my partner found this little Coffee Spot!!! We literally drove over 20 minutes to get here and it was completely worth it. - Bearberry Chai - Midnight Raven - (I made up a drink and called it Mounds Abound) - Large Americano with 2" heavy cream, sugar free coconut, and sugar free chocolate syrup.
