Crema's Take

La Betty is a leisurely DC spot where the vibe matters as much as the brew, with vinyl records adorning the walls and a genuinely stylish staff that makes solo coffee sessions or friend hangouts feel equally welcoming. Beyond solid traditional and specialty coffee drinks, they've built a reputation on their colorful pastries and light food offerings that keep people lingering longer than planned. It's the kind of place where you can show up late in the morning, settle in with natural wine beverages or espresso, and lose track of time—which is precisely the point.

A must stop for those interested in whiling away time solo or with friends. I had the most colorful meal ever in a cozy atmosphere The staff are friendly, helpful, and stylish. You'll want to take off your shoes and relax into the shag carpet. Relax, but keep your shoes on! Lol I look forward to coming back many times!

This place is a gem… I always focus on the food and drinks first, as those are my priorities when I eat out, but wow the entire atmosphere and vibe make this place even more special. The food was the right amount of sweet, savory, and salty (shoutout to the epic cinnamon rolls) and not overpriced! But most importantly, the service was top. Mile, especially was kind and always made sure we had what we needed (w/o being overbearing or interrupting), offered continuously to make us more comfortable, and made great suggestions. As for the space, it’s spacious, has different nooks for singular visitors and for large groups as well, and it just all felt very cool an hip. I’m looking forward to visiting during a vinyl Dj set night AND for more places like these to pop up in the city :)

This is such a nice spot! As someone with my own vinyl collection, I love the look of their records on display—it adds such a cool vibe. My friends and I usually come here for their sweet treats as a reward after a workout, and their donuts and drink options are such a delicious pick-me-up! I’ve also heard great things about their evening wine bar, so I’m super excited to try that later in the day. I’ll update my review once I do! :)

This is an incredible experience! The wine beverages were delicious, and it’s all natural, woke up feeling great the next day. I had the sliders and the wings, both were amazing. The whole vibe is awesome! The DJs playing vinyl made the night incredible. The staff was friendly, welcoming and they were also having a great time, listening to the music and being cordial. In addition, during the day, you can get breakfast, brunch and bakery items. Every need was met and anticipated, this is a must visit when you are in DC!

When you Walk inside La Betty in front of you is a the counter of donuts and cakes. The process of ordering was unclear and confusing. There were people standing in the lobby area who looked like customers. Employees were behind the counter. Menus were by the door. There was no one to greet you. We asked the employee behind the counter where to go to eat. A warm woman Asia appeared and told us we could order from her and she would call our name when the food was ready. We walked to the right of the counter behind a wall and found a lounge area and dining tables. We sat down at the counter by the window. One of us had a laptop. Another woman appeared and told us there were no laptops allowed in the dining room. The woman told us to go to the other side of the entrance where laptops are allowed, which we did. Btw, Another customer was working at the same counter via phone and notepad. There is no WiFi and the music is loud. We ordered the following. 1. The Jelly donut was good filled with a nice amount of raspberry/strawberry jelly. 2. The Glazed donut was ok. 3. The Cream with coconut donut was ok. There is a lot of cream with a touch of coconut. 4. Chive cheddar biscuit with an egg. The egg was good and the biscuit was surprisingly bland. 5. The French baguette is good. May return to try their other food options but do not want to go out of our way to return.
