Crema's Take

Happy Monday is a sprawling, perpetually buzzing neighborhood hub in Roseville where the "Hug in a Mug" (a cinnamon-kissed mocha) and the Grandma Latte have earned devoted fans despite the crowds. The space itself is genuinely comfortable for both quick coffee runs and longer stays, with ample parking making it forgiving when you're in a time crunch, plus pastries like their standout apple fritter that justify lingering over your cup. It's the kind of place that gets busy for good reason—locals and travelers alike keep coming back for thoughtful, creative drinks and a welcoming atmosphere that balances speed and substance.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly, quick-grab spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Parking available.

Overall great experience. Coffee was great and the service was as well. I had the "Hug in a Mug" (mocha + cinnamon) which was very good. The place is huge and it was a packed house. So, if you're looking to have a quiet conversation, this really isn't the place for that.

The Grandma Latte is actually $7, not the $6 listed on their menu. They do not tell you ahead of time that if you get a coffee iced they charge you $1, which is strange because that usually means they’re giving you less coffee if you’re getting it iced so I’m not sure what’s up…

Our first time to Minnesota, we flew in for the Paul McCartney concert last night and wanted to try out the local coffee scene. This shop was tremendous, we liked it better than FRGMNT and Northern Coffeeworks in Minneapolis- from the flavor of coffee, to the kindness of the…
