Crema's Take
“This Ravenswood gem excels at being a true third place, with cozy seating options including couches perfect for lingering over a Midnight Vanilla Latte or quick morning visits with family. The in-house bakery is the real star, with croissants, pastries, and house toast that regulars rave about, paired with quality Collectivo coffee and a thoughtful menu that extends well beyond what's listed—soups, salads, and sandwiches round out the experience for any time of day. Whether you're grabbing a pastry at the drive-thru or settling in for a calm Sunday morning, the warm staff and welcoming atmosphere make this feel less like a chain and more like your neighborhood's best-kept secret.”

Absolutely magnificent!!! My morning first start until I get here and devour the Midnight Vanilla Latte. EVERYTHING from the bakery is fantastic. I enjoy a ham & cheese croissant, and a nice big cookie. Their coffee cake is delicious, and has many varieties. I love it!!! Huzzah!
This Cafe was about a 7 min walk from our motel, and it is so beautiful and calm on a Sunday morning. The menu is extensive and doesn't even list everything in the bakery cases. I had the House toast (it listed different ingredients than what were used but I assume it may be what's seasonal/available, though that isn't really stated clearly), the spinach mushroom and cheese croissant, a cinnamon toast crunch latte (hot) and a new banana milk latte (iced). The House Toast was amazing! Whoever put these ingredients together was a genius. Mine did not have the peaches, which I was excited to try so that was a little disappointing, but when I tried it that thought disappeared. It has blueberries, raspberries and possibly blackberries, spinach, cherry tomatoes and balsamic glaze on top of a cheese (I can't tell if it was the listed cheese or not). I am so insanely impressed by this and will be attempting to recreate this at home. The spinach mushroom and cheese croissant I had warmed, and it was fluffy, buttery, crispy, all of the good croissant adjectives. It could have done with maybe a small bit of salt but every other aspect was delicious. My cinnamon toast crunch latte was great, exactly what I expected, until the last sip was all sugar syrup. The banana milk latte I was intrigued by, and had to give it a taste. I did bot pay attention to the fact that it wasn't mixed and my first sip was ALL ESPRESSO. This is my fault and after mixing, it was thick, creamy and pretty good, even not being much of a fan of banana. I wish I had mixed it first though because that first sip kind of ruined it for me. Altogether the meal was amazing, delicious and the Cafe was beautiful with art all on the walls and lovely thriving plants everywhere. The cost was more than I expected but it's Chicago, you've got to expect to pay more in this city. Thank you to the chef and baristas who put together this scrumptious meal!
I went to this cute cafe this morning for breakfast with my family. It was amazing and delicious! The staff were very kind and it was quick service. Lots of variety of seating too, with couches and chairs! There is lots of room in the restaurant actually, it’s quite cozy and quiet too. I got a chocolate croissant and a strawberry smoothie and they were delicious! The croissant had a light soft crisp, it was buttery and had a perfect balance of chocolate. The smoothie was cold, fruity and delicious! My mom got the maple long John and the lavender soda. She told me the lavender soda tasted like she was drinking straight out of a pure lavender flower. She also told me the donut was yummy and had a hint of mint. My dad got the vegan sausage bagel and he really enjoyed it. He said the vegan egg, cheese, and sausage were actually really good. The pricing wasn’t bad either!
This is the jewel of the Ravenswood area! The best kept secret in the area the coffee is top tier. And the pastries, made in house, are so wonderful plus you can get lunch soup, salads and sandwiches! The prices are incredibly reasonable! A must to put on your list of local shops to try, today! Open 6am to 4 weekdays and 6 to 2 on Sunday. Service is outstanding quick and friendly! Best lavender latte with plenty of foam!
Solid cafe and bakery with a good variety of pastries, sandwiches, and drinks; serving collectivo coffee. There is a drive through and some limited parking. Staff were friendly and service was pretty quick. The pastries and sandwich we got were solid, worth going to if you're a regular commuter on the near by metra line.
