“Tea of Jax is a vibrant Indian tea and cuisine spot where the mango lassi is legendary enough to warrant solo visits, and the masala chai arrives authentically spiced and piping hot. I would come here for the mango lassi alone. It is to die for. The best I've ever had. All of the food that we got off of the hot bar was good. We came an hour before closing and there was still a good selection left. The store may be small, but it is jam packed with lots of items. Spices galore! A ton of dried food goods. Definitely everything you need to make any Indian dish.
I won’t rate this outlet for the groceries as we didn’t buy any but for their hot and fresh food items. They serve excellent hot and fresh Masala Chai with authentic Indian taste. They sell ten or more flavors of chai that we would like to try in subsequent visits. They also sell several flavors of the quintessential Indian snack to go with Chai - the Samosas! We tried the regular ones with potatoes and green peas. The samosas were right sized and filled up using a nice masala filling made with well cooked potatoes. We became instant fans of their Chai and Samosas.
Another great experience again! I love tea of Jax! Their snacks are always fresh, warm and delicious. I usually see one of two people who usually work there and both of them have always been nice. I don’t have his name but the man who ringed up my cardamom tea and samosa was very nice. I will always come back here again and again!
Although I did not have their tea , I had a mango drink and loved it. Tried some other cusine they made and it was really tasty. Bought some take home shish cabob and was quite spicy, I liked it. People very friendly. Cricket team visiting store made for interesting conversation. Will return for sure.
This location is most definitely five stars. I'll try and make this a straightforward review but my great experience with this Indian cuisine took me into some research into what I was eating. Namely, 2 Samosa Tea which included fresh tea leaves into a mint tea and the Samosas which, as I'm learning is a popular Indian Tea time healthy snack called or related to Ayuneda, " an Indian medicinal practice, dating thousands of years." Like 500 BC. Everything is freshly prepared right there and is so much better than this whole fast food scene that seems to be taking over society. Jax Tea 🍵 is a great place with great food.
