Kickstand Cafe
594 Massachusetts Ave, Watertown, MA
Crema's Take
“Kickstand Cafe has cultivated a genuinely welcoming atmosphere where you can linger for hours with your laptop or catch up with friends over espresso-focused drinks and solid sandwiches like their popular mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini. The sunny outdoor seating and easy bike access via the Minuteman Bikeway make it feel more like a community gathering spot than a typical coffee shop, though the food quality can be a bit inconsistent. With friendly staff, reasonable parking, and a refreshingly dog-free policy that actually works for everyone, this Watertown spot rewards regulars who appreciate the vibe over perfection.”
What to expect
Espresso-focused. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Parking available.

Lots of gluten free option, amazing breakfast and coffee. This is by far one of the best coffees I've ever had, please get the vanilla latte
Great chicken salad. I am also happy that pet dogs are no longer permitted inside. As a dog lover, I understand wanting to bring your family with you everywhere. As a human with dog allergies, I appreciate being able to limit my exposure to animals in indoor spaces. Tough call…
Nice spot for a coffee or sandwich. My go to is the mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini. There’s also a selection of baked goods. Easy access from the Minuteman Bikeway if you ‘re riding. Small parking area if you’re driving, or park on the street.

Super friendly and kind staff. Food is good and it's a comfortable atmosphere to chill, chat with people, work a bit, and enjoy the sunshine
While the drink was fine, the cookie tasted almost stale. I was also surprised that orders were called by number instead of by name or drink, which made the service feel a bit impersonal. The general appearance of the place was a bit "dumpy" and disorganized, which might have…
