Crema's Take
“Mansion Society is a hidden gem where the baristas genuinely treat every customer like a dear friend, creating an atmosphere that feels as warm and inviting as the carefully crafted seasonal drinks they pour. The space itself has a unique character with a storied history, and their signature creations—like the beloved banana pancake latte—showcase thoughtful flavor combinations that reward both casual visitors and serious coffee enthusiasts exploring Indianapolis's specialty scene. Whether you're settling in for a long work session or meeting friends, you'll find yourself wanting to linger in this charming spot where hospitality is just as much a part of the experience as the excellent coffee.”

The Mansion Society have the sweetest baristas EVER!! Sadly, I do not go very often due to distance, but every time I do, the baristas here make you feel like I am their best friend. Not to mention their iced vanilla latte was one of the best I’ve ever had!
My wife, daughter, and I visited Mansion Society after seeing it on social media. As avid coffee lovers who’ve tried 10–15 shops around Indy, we were excited to check it out. The space is a great first impression, set in an old hospital with a warm, lively atmosphere and strong coffee shop energy. We arrived around 10:30 on a Sunday and it was busy but not overwhelming. Seating is communal. Barbie, one of the owners, was running the front and was incredibly kind and welcoming. We ordered a cappuccino, a bread and butter iced latte, and two sandwiches (spicy BLT and the French croissant). Unfortunately, the wait was the major issue. It took 25ish minutes for our drinks and nearly 30 more minutes for our food. These were very simple orders, and the total wait time felt excessive. Barbie kindly offered us a Nutella croissant for the delay, which we appreciated, but the wait was still far too long. We also noticed most patrons were experiencing similar delays. The coffee was very well made (8/10). The food, however, was underwhelming for the price — simple sandwiches and mass-produced chips served in a cappuccino cup didn’t match the premium feel they seem to be going for. The shop felt understaffed, and while Barbie was fantastic, she appeared overwhelmed juggling orders, drinks, and food running. I really wanted to love this place. The ambiance is unique and the staff is kind, but waiting close to an hour for two drinks and two basic sandwiches makes it hard to justify a return. I wouldn’t recommend this spot if you’re in a hurry or value quick service.
Delicious drinks and fantastic service. We got the winter seasonal banana pancake latte and dirty carrot chai. You’ll have to stir the drinks when you get them. The baristas were super personable, and the atmosphere was perfect for a cafe.
Marvelous experience! The cafe is adorable. The nice woman working was so warm and inviting! And the two coffee drinks we got with oat milk were delicious and just the right temperature. We will definitely be back to try the new vegan food options:)
Neat coffeehouse with a unique history and ambiance. Needed a place to get some work done and stumbled upon this hidden gem. Fantastic service, banana pancake latte had just the right amount of mild sweetness. Great drip coffee. Will definitely return if on the area.
