Crema's Take

This authentic Yemeni café brings the rich coffee traditions of the Middle East to San Francisco's specialty coffee scene, serving boldly flavored regional drinks like the Iced Mufawar alongside carefully curated pastries that balance sweetness with sophistication. The swanky modern space creates an inviting atmosphere for lingering with friends or settling in solo, while the patient and attentive staff help guide you through an impressively distinctive menu that goes far beyond standard espresso drinks. Whether you're after a perfectly pulled cortado or adventurous flavors you won't find elsewhere, Haraz strikes that rare balance of authenticity and approachability that makes it feel like a genuine discovery rather than just another coffee shop.

Early January 2025 Authentic Yemeni cafe that serves up a delectable menu of regional Middle Eastern drinks and selective or fusion style pastries 🍰. For the pastries sweetness levels are well managed while savory items are very limited in choice Drin options particularly coffee ☕️ are numerous and varied with distinct aroma and taste. Special consideration also given to presentation. Service is only via counter and self service tabling. Cafe decor is also contemporary and a hybrid of modern Western styles mixed with slight Middle Eastern touches The place is commonly frequented by remote workers and seating can get pretty limited

I love this place! Fantastic rich coffees in a swanky modern retail space. What a hidden gem. We ordered a Cortado and a latte. Both perfect with great flavor. And they got the milk just right for both drinks. And the staff are super friendly. I love locally owned and operated businesses. And coffee is my favorite vice!

I tried the Iced Mufawar and a samosa. I appreciate the unique items on the menu and the variety of pastries. The coffee was definitely stronger than I expected, so I would recommend sweetening it if you get it! The samosa was really good, too. Plenty of space to work from the cafe or read.

I went on Thanksgiving, so probably not the best day to go. The cashier looked annoyed to be there… rolled her eyes. I understand the feeling of working on a holiday, but seriously almost walked out and left. I’ll bring my business elsewhere. Also, insanely expensive. $8 minimum for any coffee beverage and no smaller sizes. Almost feels like a scam. Dogs barking inside too. Loved that! Coffee was okay, nothing really stood out here. Decent amount of seating. I’d consider more than 1 star if my morning wasn’t started with negativity.

Highlight, the workers behind the counter are patient and lovely 💞 I've tried most of the pastries/sweets. I wanted to love their take on the Dubai chocolate cake, but unfortunately since it sits in close proximity and in the same case as the items made with rose water, it's ruins the cake because it picks up the rose essence and you taste it 😔😫 The best item, im my opinion, is their baklava cheesecake. Its the star 😻 just get it, no doubt that you'll be happy you did. Skip the beautiful pistachio croissant.
