Northern Vessel

Incredible first experience at Northern Vessel today. TJ (the owner) was high energy and very welcoming. Jack and the crew behind the counter were putting in work but made every custom coming through feel special. The coffee lives up to the hype - the hot, cold and matcha were 10/10 (trust me, we tried all three at once!) Wonderful little establishment. It’s a hike from Ankeny, but a trek we will make more often now. Thanks, guys! We’ll be back soon. Zach & Amber Brooks

This is one of our favorite coffee shops in DSM. Their cold brew lattes are amazing and the vibe is perfect. Love bringing our whole family to hangout and snag some donuts too!

Really good coffee! The staff was super friendly. They made great recommendations and went above and beyond to put a bottle of my cold brew latte in a bag of ice since I had to travel over 2 hours with it to get home. Highly recommend!

Not exaggerating, this is one of the best coffee shops we've ever been to. The hospitality and welcome are unmatched. The coffee and drinks are amazing. We were taking a cross country trip and they made our driving break the best part of our day. Thank you baristas of Northern Vessel!

I have been to a lot of coffee shops but Northern Vessel is hands down, by far the best coffee shop I’ve been to. Starting with the coffee itself, such rich and bold flavor. The majority of the time I order just black cold brew, but it’s so delicious. I have also tried their cold brew latte, which is also dangerously good. Not too sweet, but a great latte if I want to switch it up. More importantly however, the hospitality and atmosphere NV provides is second to none. They take their hospitality and customer service very serious, always going above and beyond to make the customer feel valued. My second ever time in, the staff remembered my name from the first time I was in. TJ, Jack, Dante, Antonio, Hannah, and all the other staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, which makes all the difference. If you’re visiting Des Moines this is a must stop try, and if you live in Des Moines this needs to be your regular coffee place!
