Crema's Take

Hooked is a charming book café tucked into a Lansing apartment complex where you can linger over thoughtfully crafted drinks like their signature Love Bug (blackberry and vanilla cold brew) while browsing a curated library of books. The space strikes that rare balance of being perfect for focused work sessions or leisurely hangouts with friends and family, and their baristas treat each order as an opportunity to create something visually and tastefully special. With strong cold brew, excellent drip coffee, and creative specialty drinks alongside light bites like Nutella peanut butter toast, it's become a beloved local refuge for coffee lovers who don't mind the occasional wait for a seat.

We loved it!!! I got the love bug. A coffee with blackberry and vanilla. I got it iced. It was absolutely delicious! The kids shared a plate of Nutella peanut butter toast.. I tried some. Sounds silly but it was phenomenal ❤️ The book selection is insane! They have like every Stephen King book! And tons of children books! Next time I'll be back for a coffee flight and a little Carolines! Have to leave the kids home for this one 😉 Definitely HOOKED!

My first time here and ill make the drive to come back. Coffee was excellent, book selection is vast and I enjoyed hanging out drinking coffee and selecting books. Wonderful.

Cool place. Super busy, hard to get a table. Coffee was alright, although espresso tasted a little burnt. But the drip was very good. It's a nice concept they have. They've got a library inside and you can read as you drink your Java.

Such a charming coffee shop. Though part of an apartment complex the environment is amazing. The drinks exceptional. They really do treat each order as special and worthy of looking amazing. The only negative is how small a space they have which honestly is bigger than a lot of places. I highly recommend it. I loved my literary coffee flite and café sandwhich. I admired the kids Cocoa with gummy bears on the side, next time Hooked, next time.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Lansing. Amazing coffee & tea. Great books. This adorable book cafe is a great spot if you are needing to get some work done or even for a cute little date night with your partner. The staff is always kind as well. 10/10 recommend!
