Crema's Take
“Lavender & Honey strikes that rare balance between a quick caffeine pit stop and a lingering afternoon retreat, with bright natural light and smooth jazz creating a genuinely welcoming vibe for solo workers and groups alike. Beyond solid espresso drinks, this spot earns real loyalty for its matcha offerings and thoughtful pastry selection—including standout matcha scones—plus a surprisingly robust food menu that makes it easy to justify staying longer than you planned.”

Honestly, this place is soooo not worth the wait and hype. Waited 30 minutes for a milk dominant plain latte. I kindly asked them to remake it because I could hardly taste the coffee and they did the exact same thing. Waiting 30+ minutes for mediocre coffee is not something I’d like to repeat. So many better coffee shops in the South Bay
Friendly baristas, bright light pouring in through tall windows, and smooth jazz from a Marshall speaker set the tone. The grab and go fridge makes it easy if you are in a rush, while the shelves of merchandise, artisanal chocolates, and pastries invite you to linger. The patio opens onto Aviation Boulevard, where the city hums by as you sip. Lavender & Honey is cheerful, effortless, and exactly the kind of café you return to again and again.
My sister-in-law who lives here in Redondo Beach stopped by Lavender & Honey for pastries before meeting us for brunch and snagged some Matcha Scones for us. She knows I’m a hardcore foodie and pastries are my weakness. Haha. I love a good scone but it’s usually hit or miss as scones have a tendency to be very dry. Luckily for me, this was a win. The scones were not dry at all but more moist than anything. The matcha flavor wasn’t super strong so it was a good hint of matcha. Lavender & Honey has been on my list so next time I’m in town I hope to stop by and check out the store and grab some coffee and pastries.
Lavender and Honey, Redondo Beach Review Stopped by Lavender and Honey for breakfast after finding out Tommy and Atticus next door was closed on a Monday. This spot turned out to be a pleasant surprise! It’s a cool, laid-back place to hang out in the morning. While it doesn’t have the huge selection of baked goods like some other spots, they make up for it with unique breakfast sandwiches and pastries that hit the spot. The lavender-flavored coffees were our favorites —really well-balanced and not overpowering. The interior is roomy with a calming pastel colors that makes it a great place to start the day. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, which added to the experience. Only downside is the limited parking, so you might need to circle a bit. Definitely worth a visit for a chill breakfast!
This place has a nice food menu as well as solid coffee. I got a turkey club sandwich and a latte. The wifi was free. I went around 12:30p on a Monday and the place was pretty busy. All tables on the inside had people posted up on their laptops like they sit there all day.
