Crema's Take
“Living Room Coffee & Kitchen strikes that rare balance between efficient neighborhood spot and genuine third place, where you're equally welcome to linger over a pour over for hours or dash in for a quick espresso and creative breakfast sandwich. The thoughtfully curated menu—from their specialty drinks to notably accommodating gluten-free options—pairs beautifully with the quiet, conversational atmosphere that keeps locals returning again and again. It's the kind of place where the coffee is genuinely good, the food (think goat cheese and honey toast) shows real care, and the vibe makes you want to stay longer than you planned.”

The Living Room is a perfect place to grab a coffee with a friend or meet up with someone. It’s a quiet and relaxed atmosphere where it’s very easy to talk. The menu is pretty focused with light fare and interesting drinks. By interesting I mean espresso and orange juice!? Espresso and root beer!? Don’t knock it till you try it! Usually I go with a plain americano. Love the outdoor seating, we can bring the pups! They even have an outdoor ordering window. The only down side is the close at 3pm.
Overall a good place to go. Has a nice vibe and reasonable prices. Up there as one of my favorite places in maplewood. My wife and I have been there several times over the years and have had overall good experiences. The food is good and has a lot of options for people with dietary restrictions. A lot of vegetarian and or vegan options. There are also a lot of pastry options as well. Would recommend as a good place for brunch. The prices a reasonable. The service is also pretty quick. Overall I think it is a very good place with a good small town vibe in the middle of maplewood
Super cute coffee shop in the STL. They had creative offerings, and LOTS of options for gluten free. The line was long and the place was busy, but it was quick, efficient, and very inviting.
Ordered the Sea-tac sandwich. The sandwich came with baked egg, whipped goat cheese, honey and cucumber slices on toast with a side of grapes. I like the taste of goat cheese and honey and these made the sandwich for me. Excellent balance of flavors. The sandwich would have been 5 stars if it had more goat cheese and some seasonings like lemon pepper or basil. The side of grapes were ripe and sweet. Great help at the counter when we ordered. You order your food first then they’ll ask which table will you sit at then they will bring you the food. We sat outside because it was so mild. They have their own parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. Very casual restaurant.
Not a bad little spot. The coffee was good, and the breakfast burrito was fine. Nothing here is going to blow you away but it’s solid. My pair cost about $15 total which is slightly steep, but I would say that the staff is friendly and if you just need a quick bite, this spot is ok.
