Crema's Take

Tucked into Scotts Valley, this charming cafe stands out for its commitment to homemade everything—from hand-rolled bagels and fresh-baked scones to house-roasted coffee—making it feel more like a neighborhood bakery than a typical coffee shop. The warm, attentive staff and carefully crafted sandwiches like the Metro veggie bagel draw regulars who appreciate quality ingredients and genuine care, whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a longer sit. It's the kind of place where small touches matter, from the soft, pillowy dough of their bagels to their thoughtful gluten-free options, creating a genuinely welcoming spot for both rushed commuters and those looking to linger.

Such a cute place! The Metro was the best veggie bagel sandwich I have ever had for sure. I got it with a jalapeño cheddar bagel and you could tell it was fresh by how soft the dough was 🤤 I wish they had wifi for being a coffee shop, but understand due to their location being near the bus pick up. I will for sure be back to try the sweet treats I saw!

What a fantastic little hidden gem cafe. Great for a quick stop or to wait for a bus. The selection was wonderful, and the scones were delightful. With homemade items and knowledgeable great service, it is a definite place to return to. Everything looked and smelled delicious. I also appreciated how clean it is.

I think it depends on what you’re expecting. If you’re here waiting for a bus, it’s a great place to grab a coffee. However, we came after the wharf to wharf race (6 mi.) and were hoping for a tasty and hearty brunch and were sorely disappointed. The bagels were tiny and undercooked. The toast was thin sliced toast out of a bag. The avocado toast had about 1/8 of an avocado on a single piece of bread. They don’t have any prices on the menu, but don’t like it when you ask how much things are. The outdoor seating is decently nice and there’s plenty of parking. Overall wouldn’t really recommend for brunch. I think there are better places around here.
