Crema's Take
“This cozy Portage spot has earned serious love from locals for its creative signature drinks like the hazelnut crème brûlée latte and impressively crafted chai tea lattes, paired with freshly baked pastries that keep people coming back. The warm, unhurried atmosphere makes it perfect for lingering over a laptop or meeting a friend, and the genuine kindness of the staff shines through in nearly every review. It's the kind of neighborhood gem where quality matters—from beautifully presented lunch boxes to their carefully curated coffee bean selection—and the small-town feel keeps people loyal despite occasional misses.”

2-24-26 I needed a pick me up today, and I knew lunch from the local grind would bring me some joy. Nice lunch today, it was displayed beautifully in a take-out box. And paired with an iced caramel coffee. 6-8-23 The more I eat here, the more I'm convinced this is the best food in town. 5-4-23 today I ordered the chicken fajita wrap meal, very good! The customer service, food and drinks never disappoint. :] FANTASTIC food! Our personal favorites are the California Ruben meal with a Snickers Frap. $14 price for these two items in our order, and worth every penny. Absolutely delicious!!!
Delicious coffee, super nice staff, great atmosphere! I ordered an iced hazelnut creme brulee latte with cold foam. It had a great flavor (and I am picky about coffee places having an odd taste) and the cold foam was amazing. It was so creamy. I had to come back the next day for another one. Both times I came in both staff members were super friendly. There were kids books in the seating area which I really liked to keep my toddler busy while I enjoyed my coffee. I will be stopping here every time I am near Delton and will dream about the latte!
Had the best Chai Tea Latte this morning from The Local Grind! 10/10 would recommend and get again! When I stop in I usually get a bacon cheddar scone and it never disappoints! I’ve also gotten many sandwiches over the years and they are always delicious as well! The Local Grind is well worth a trip to Delton. It is a great place for meeting friends or sipping on coffee and reading!
Super cute street! Love the kind people working there but the chai isn't what I hoped for- not spicy or flavorful. Coffee also bland and pastry a bit stale. Love supporting local businesses so maybe give it a try and you'll have a different experience.
Very calm, fairly quite. HUGE SELECTION of coffees, lattes, food, baked goods, coffee beans, ect. Very small home town feel. My vanilla Caramel latte was fabulous 👌
