Brew Café & Bakery

Crema's Take
“Brew Café & Bakery is a clean, inviting spot in downtown Worcester where the atmosphere itself seems designed for lingering—whether you're studying with friends, reading a book over almond croissants, or settling in with your laptop for the afternoon. Their sourdough breakfast sandwiches and avocado toast are worth trying, and the hot chocolate pairs beautifully with their pastries, especially on colder days. Just a short walk from City Hall, it's become a neighborhood favorite for anyone seeking a genuinely calming place to work or unwind.”

Okay when I walked in this joint I thought it would be nice. The atmosphere is clean and fancy. I came in to study with some friends and I ordered the egg, cheese, turkey breakfast sandwich on sourdough bread. What I got was a disgrace to the culinary arts. It was some basic toast with really fake American cheese, 1-2 soggy eggs, and a very dry and flat turkey patty. Legitimately worse than school food. I know this place is probably better known for their drinks but dang that menu items SUCKS.
Great ambience!! Came here to read the last chapters of this thrilling book. I had almond croissants and hot chocolate! The perfect combo for the wintry weather! I will be coming back with my laptop next time to do some work. 5/5
My experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. I went for breakfast and was truly awful. It looked nothing like the photos on the menu and the taste was so bad I almost vomited. The presentation seemed sloppy and it definitely wasn't worth the price.🤮🤮🤮🤮 the wait time is insane there’s only one person taking care of all orders. Not her fault at all but what a disappointment experience.
Love the vibe of this place, it makes for a calming and relaxing place to enjoy delicious food and beverage options. The service is also phenominal. Got the avocado toast and was pleasantly surprised that it was made with foccacia! The maple chai latte just hit the spot on a chilly morning. I highly recommend this place whether youre grabbing a coffee to go or sitting for a bit.
About a 10 minute walk from the courthouse and across the street from city hall, so it is well located for a break. I wish I had tried the bagels, but I didn’t realize they had hot options, so I went for the pumpkin pie as a snack. The pie was good. The pastries looked like they had better days although perhaps they had fresh ones outside of the display case, which would have been good to try. On another occasion, I’ll give a breakfast sandwich a try. I wish they had simple syrup for sweetening the coffee and fresh cream and milk options to adjust one’s coffee to taste. I ordered a latte just the way I like it, so I don’t need all of these options, but I did notice there weren’t any set out. Also there were no washable silverware, so you only had the option of plastic forks and spoons that were pretty flimsy and not ideal for sitting in. It is great for take-out, though. The main thing about this spot if you’re ordering in is the coffee to order and the ample and varied seating areas. It looks like a good place to sit and work for a while as it is calm, and it also has plenty of seating to have a conversation or a meal. Modern and comfortable furnishings. Big windows looking out towards the park.
